Behind the Mask (HunterTOH x Y/N)

(1) Background Part One

Edalyn Clawthorne was desperately trying to escape the Boiling Rains, when she came across an old castle. Without hesitation, she landed her palisman and stayed in the stone building. She walked around some strangely shaped rock structures, exploring the atmosphere.

All of the sudden, she saw a quick flash of movement.

"Who's there? Reveal yourself." She pointed her palisman out threateningly. From behind her, a baby demon jumped out and made a cute little "Weh!" sound.

It picked up a rock and put it down on two rocks stacked on top of each other. "Did you make all these?" Eda asked, kneeling down to the little guy.

"What are you..?" She scratched his head cutely, and he closed his eyes.

They both turned around to a terrifying beast, swinging it's hand at them. It seemed like it wanted to kill Eda and the baby. She hopped on her palisman and began to fly out, but a baby's crying stopped her. She looked down at the demon, expecting the cries to be coming from him, but he was happy as a clam.

She darted her eyes across the room, looking for the source of the noise. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw baby you, crawling on the ground with blood covering you from head to toe.

"Holy Titan!" Eda exclaimed, speeding down to you.

She picked you up carefully, and placed you in her lap behind the demon.

"Where are your guy's parents?!" Eda yelled as she flew out of the castle. The rock monster swung his arm at her a few times, and chipped off one of the demon's horns.

She eventually got back to her house, The Owl House, and sprinted inside.

"Who are the kids? Hoot!" The house demon, Hooty, asked.

"Not now Hooty!" Eda yelled, pushing open the door. She ran to the bathroom and immediately began to wash you off in the sink.

"Wait a minute.." She muttered to herself. She sniffed the red liquid coming off your body, and gasped. "This is apple blood! Wow, you sure gave me a scare there, kid." She chuckled with relief, and washed the rest of the apple blood off of you.

An hour had gone by, and you now had a new onesie on. You and the demon, which was named King now, were both watching Eda's crystal ball. You laughed and clapped along to one of the songs, while King jumped around with excitement.

"What am I gonna call you?" Eda looked at you while making a sippy cup for you. She kneeled down to your level and handed you the cup, which you gratefully took.

"How about... Y/N?" She said the name, and you perked your head up. "Y/N?" She asked again, making you nod your head happily.

"Y/N it is!" Eda exclaimed.

You're now 5, and making a potion with Eda. "Now, you gotta remember to add in the griffin toenail before the spider eye, or else it'll explode in your face." She explained, carefully placing the ingredients in her cauldron.

You however, were not paying any attention, and you messed up the order. Out of nowhere, a big explosion flew strait out of your cauldron, blackening your face with smoke. With your hair standing straight up in the front, you and Eda giggled.
