Harry came home to a note under his door, asking him to meet Severus when he got home. It was written in beautiful black script with a silky green wax seal. Harry was excited to see him, rushing inside to get ready.
Harry put away everything he bought at Knockturn Alley, hurrying to his dresser to put on a nicer outfit. He put on a dark red button down with black onyx stone buttons, putting on fancy straight dark blue jeans that hugged his legs. I've been dressing too lazy lately...hope this is better.
It was 7:30 so there were still students out after dinner, making it hard for Harry to sneak over to Severus's rooms. He used the darkness and statues to his advantage, thankful the Dungeons had plenty of places to hide and evade.
Severus came to the door when his knocker smacked against the stone, opening it to see Harry standing there with a flushed face smile. "Good evening." He stepped to the side.
"Hi." Harry walked in, met with a smell of rich meat and freshly baked bread. "Are you cooking in here?" He asked, leaving his shoes and socks by the door.
Severus put his hands on Harry's shoulders from behind. "Yes I have, I'm assuming you haven't eaten dinner?" He guided him into the kitchen area, sitting him down at the breakfast nook in the corner.
Harry sat on the black leather bench cushions of the nook, looking at the elegant lace placemats and silver utensils. "This looks so sophisticated!" He exclaimed, running his hands over the dark wood.
"It's nothing unusual for me, I like my place to be neat and comforting to my own tastes." Severus brought over 2 large bowls of stew, the smell of the rich meat filling the air more pungent and fragrent.
"This smells amazing, what is it?" Harry asked, looking at all the different things inside the stew. It's so hard not to drool! He thought, wanting to dig into it.
"Venison steak stew, one of my muggle dishes that I've perfected with a few changes along the years." Severus picked up his silver spoon. "Go ahead, while it's hot."
Harry tried so hard to control his hunger, slowly dipping the spoon in. "Thank you for making this, you didn't have to do this." He took the first bite. Good lord this is delicious!!! He couldn't contain himself anymore, digging into it fast.
Severus stifled a laugh, smiling as he ate his meal. "You don't have to act so proper Potter, I want you to enjoy the food I made." He poured some wine into both crystal goblets. "This is a red wine called Pinot Noir, it pairs well with the richness of the meat."
Harry took a sip after swallowing a mouthful, his brows raising in pleasure at the combination of flavors. "Who taught you how to cook???"
Severus dabbed his lips with the silk napkin. "I am self taught, I had alot of time by myself as a young adult...I was tired of crackers and noodles all the time so I thought instead I'd learn to make food that satisfied my refined palette."
Harry wolfed down his entire bowl within minutes, using the side sourdough bread to wipe the sauce off the sides of the bowl. "Thank you so much this was the best thing I've tasted in...well maybe in my entire life." He blushed.
Severus smiled slightly. "Do you want more?" He asked, standing to go get some more for himself as well.
Harry nodded, handing off his empty bowl. "What else can you make?"
