Harry woke up Sunday morning to a fire call from Hermione asking to meet him, wanting to talk. He told her to meet him at his house in Godric's Hollow, floo'ing to his house for the first time since leaving for Hogwarts.
Harry stumbled to his knees, tripping on the fire screen in the middle of his living room. He pawed off the dust from his chest, clumsily standing up. "Kreacher????" He called.
Kreacher came in fast. "Mr. Potter, you've been gone for over a week, Kreacher was beginning to think you abandoned us."
Harry laughed slightly. "No I told you I'd never do that, I had to wait to get a floo, you can't apparate at Hogwarts remember?"
"I've kept the house as Master wanted, clean and tidy, plants watered." Kreacher lowered his head.
"I told you not to call me that didn't I? I am not your Master." Harry walked passed Kreacher, patting his head.
"Yes Mr. Potter Kreacher forgot."
Harry walked into the kitchen, looking around. "Looks so clean and organized. I like it, thank you Kreacher."
Kreacher bowed slightly, handing Harry a mug of coffee with cream and sugar in it. "Does Mr. Potter wish to eat something for breakfast?"
Harry wasn't very hungry. "Not for me, but Hermione is coming in a few minutes can you make a cheese plate with some cut up salami and fruit?"
Kreacher glared at the mention of a mudblood, but he knew not to say anything about the matter. He nodded, starting to make up the plate.
Harry collapsed on the couch with a happy sigh, wiggling against the soft pillows. "I've missed my house!" He whined to himself.
The floo fireplace was set ablaze, green fire rushing from side to side.
Harry got up fast, walking over to the fireplace.
Hermione stepped out of the floo, dressed in an elegant rose pink dress and dark pink leggings. "Harry!" She hugged tightly, squeezing him with a smile.
"Mione! Lungs!!!" Harry strained.
"Oops! Sorry, I just got a little excited." Hermione let go, brushing some of the floo dust off Harry's chest.
"Thank you for coming, please sit!" Harry guided her to the couch and coffee table.
"I should be thanking you! I know things between us haven't been very good...I'm so sorry Harry I really am, nobody told me what was going on." Hermione crossed her knee over her thigh, watching Kreacher come over with the food and drinks.
"Mione I don't blame you at all, Ron lied to everybody." Harry took a sip of his Butterbeer. "What happened after I left?"
"Your guess is as good as mine! I haven't seen Ronald since I found out what he did." Hermione glared into her cup.
Harry's eyes widened. "Really? This whole time? Does Molly and Arthur know you haven't spoken to him?"
Hermione took a sip, taking a bite of a piece of cantaloupe. "I've spoken to them both a few days ago about it...they understand that I need time to get over what happened. Harry I truly am so sorry." She took Harry's hand in hers.
