Harry and Severus walked back to his private quarters after classes, skipping dinner at the Great Hall. Severus promised a drink with Harry, deciding to do something different this time.
Severus opened his liquor cabinet, rummaging through his large mixed collection of muggle and Wizard drinks. "You've been stressed lately so I thought we'd do something fun."
"Fun?" Harry asked with a slight giggle to himself. "What's your definition of fun?" Severus and the word fun don't always mesh...
Severus pulled out a dark blue transparent crystal bottle, placing it on the coffee table with 2 thin shot glasses.
Harry read the label. "Giggle Water?" Harry questioned, he hadn't had any before.
"Not only can you get drunk, each shot makes you burst out in a laugh." Severus poured the first 2 shots, handing Harry his. He went back into the kitchen to bring out a plate of his cookies he made.
Harry stared at the liquid, looking to Severus.
"Go ahead." Severus urged, clinking his shot glass with Harry's.
"Bottoms up." Harry knocked it back, overcome by a huge urge. He laughed in a big loud shout, feeling very jubilant and light. "Oh my."
Severus took his shot, laughing out loud. "It's a bit of a fuzzy feeling, you'll get use to it after a few tries." He refilled the shots.
Harry blushed with a shy smile. "I haven't laughed very much lately, I've had alot on my mind."
Severus sat next to Harry on the sofa. "It would be best if you talk about it, bottling your feelings is not wise."
Harry took another shot, bursting into a laugh. "Well hehe, I've been feeling funny about the whole...loyalty thing."
"Oh?" Severus questioned, knocking back his giggle water only to chuckle unashamed. "Explain then." He refilled the shots, offering Harry a mint chocolate cookie.
Harry nibbled at the cookie. "Are you intimate with Lucius?"
Severus raised both brows. "A bit bold to ask that right out of the gate isn't it?" He took his shot, laughing shortly.
"I'm sorry, but I've been curious about it, if you are I'm not upset." Harry made sure he prefaced that before the question was answered.
"You're not? I'm surprised, but that's a very mature response." Severus was pleasantly surprised that Harry was so calm. "But yes, not lately though due to my classes starting again. Over the summer we did, why do you ask?"
"If I were to...be with..." Harry couldn't even say it, his heart quickened rapidly at the thought. He knocked back his shot, laughing anxiously.
"Be with Draco in that way?" Severus finished Harry's sentence. "Loyalty can be intimate, or it can be a strong friendship that neither party can be without."
"Can't it be both? Would you be upset with me?" Harry felt tipsy, downing another shot with a loud cackle.
Severus took one last gulp of the giggle water, refilling them both with a laugh. "No Harry, I wouldn't be upset. You're an adult you need to make your own choices."
