Lily
The next morning, the alarm goes off at seven-twenty and I slip out of Max's warm bed and change back into my red dress that I wore the evening before. Groaning, Max stretches his arm out and pats the space I vacated on the bed. "It's too early to be getting ready. Come back to bed, Lily."
I poke my head out of the top of the dress and shake my head. "I can't. I need to get back to my apartment to shower and put on some suitable clothes for work."
"Your dress is fine for work," he grumbles into his pillow, patting the bed again.
"Liar," I grin as I walk back over to him. "You know I can't wear this dress to work. For one, it's incredibly short and two, I'm not wearing any underwear. Remember?"
He rolls over on the bed and a wicked smile crosses his face as his eyes zone in on my legs. "If you change, you'll only be depriving your customers of seeing the sweetest flower of all."
"Max!" I shriek, completely stunned at how much his dirty mind works.
I grab the pillow I slept on and repeatedly whack it against his head. When I hear an apology pass his muffled lips, I grin and chuck the pillow to the floor and lean down to kiss him. "That's more like it."
As I pull myself away from his mouth and straighten up like a cobra, Max grabs my arm in a flash and pulls me down onto the bed next to him.
"Max," I huff as I blow a strand of hair away from my face.
"Lily," he huffs back comically while rolling his body on top of mine.
I can feel his arousal pressed against my stomach and I quietly curse as Max precedes to sneak his hand up my dress.
"I do really need to get going," I groan while my body betrays me and my hips lifts to meet his hand. "Suzanne and Callie won't be able to get into the shop without me."
"Then I'm just going to have to be quick then," he replies in a low voice before pushing a single digit inside of me.
My eyes roll to the back of my head as a moan slips out of my mouth. I decide to give over to my body's needs and reach my hand over to the top drawer, hunting for a condom.
Fifteen minutes later, I run out of Max's house, leaving him inside to get ready for his journey to court to file a protective order against Sarah. I'm glad that he's listening to his dad and me and is taking steps to protect himself. I don't trust Sarah at all, and I have a strong feeling that she'll try to get to Max again after her last attempt yesterday to get him to drop the charges ended unsuccessfully.
I jump in my car and then pull up to the electric gates, winding down my window so I can input the code on the keypad that Max gave me before I left. Once the gates open for me, I put my foot down and coast down the quiet roads back to my apartment. It takes me under thirty minutes to get to my place and when I glance at the clock on the console; I work out that I have roughly fifty minutes until I need to be at my shop. Not wanting to waste any time, I hop out of the car, grabbing my purse before heading inside.
