"You brought extra underwear?" Jack asked anxiously, smoothing down Race's clothes.
Race rolled his eyes and swatted Jacks hand away, "yes, I brought extra underwear, and sunblock, and a bathing suit, and food for some reason, like they aren't gonna feed me. I'll be fine, can I leave now?"
Race raised his eyebrow expectingly, and Jack nervously tapped his finger on the steering wheel.
"If you need me-"
"Don't be hesitant to call, I won't, and I will send you a text before I go to bed, when I wake up, and tell you when to pick me up. Jack, I want to leave." Race groaned and jingled the locked door expectantly.
"Well-"
Jacks phone rang, he looked down to see Davey calling.
"Let me answer this." Jack heard Race groan but took no mind, and put it on speaker phone.
"Hey Jack! Wanna get lunch? I'm heading over to Baskin Robin."
Jack scowled and turned to Race who had his phone in his hand, "did you text Davey?"
"Um..."
"Yes I did, now can you please let me out of this car so I can go to Alberts sleepover!"
"Fine." Jack conceded and unlocked the door. Race sprinted out, shouting a goodbye in seconds and burst through the door.
"Ungrateful brat... yeah I'm coming Davey." Jack said to the phone, and drove away.
Race frowned, he was pretty late because of Jack but no one was here yet. Did he get the date wrong?
"Hello?" He called out, a low rumbling sound emerged.
"Race!" 13 boys came barreling towards him from the stars, his eyes widened as they didn't slow down, and he ran back a little.
"Guys! Wait! Oof." He was knocked to the ground in a giant human pile of teenage boy.
"Okay whoever's hand is on my butt better move right now!" Yelled Finch, followed by a small sorry.
"What took you so long?" Asked Albert.
"Took ten years for Jack to unlock the damn door." The group laughed.
"Well, we were just playing some video games." Romeo held out his hand and Race stood up.
"Alright let's go!"
As it turned out, Race was not good at video games. Okay he was better than Elmer, (sorry Elmer), but Albert and Blink were eating his dust.
"It's not fair! Ive never played this before!" He complained, tossing the remote. Elmer patted his shoulder empathetically.
"Sucks to suck," Albert muttered, finishing in first place again.
Race bit his tongue, "let's do something else."
"I agree!" Elmer pipped up.
"A card game?" Mush suggested.
Race grinned darkly, "yeah let's play a card game."
"Okay but since you two," Mush gestures between Race and Elmer, "came in dead last, you guys gotta team."
Elmer winced, "I suck at cards."
Race patted his back, "fine, but then I pick the game."
The group nodded, so Race took a dramatic pause to stand up, and grab the cards, "let's play poker."
