"Y/n! Will you please leave? The guys are gonna be here any minute." Your brother Gareth complains as you sit on the couch, flipping off the tv as he speaks. "What's the big deal? Can I have a single day of peace?" You snap.

"I've been moving all week, I finally have everything here from dad's and you want to kick me out?" Your temper getting shorter with every second.

"I mean yeah.. Why did you have to move back home anyway? You're nineteen, you can handle yourself." Gareth grumbles to you impatiently.

"Because dad is an ass, and you knew that." Your eyes shoot daggers towards him. "So to protect youmoved in with him. But there's only so much abuse a person can take before they need to leave, Gare." You huff as he sits next to you on the couch.

He puts his head on your shoulder as he hunts for something to say. "I know.. I'm sorry." He says, guilt stricken from snapping at you.

"Look, I won't embarrass you in front of your friends, I swear." You declare as you raise your right hand, and crossing your heart with your left. Gareth snickers at you and nods, "Okay fine, but it's a band practice, so you might not want to be around anyway."

You just shrug, "how bad could it be?" you question, you didn't understand why he was so nervous. "Well.. my friends are-" He was interrupted by the front door swinging open. "Gareth!! C'mon man lets get this goin!! " A deep voice booms from the front room.

"Obnoxious..." Gareth mutters in regret as he gets up. You start to giggle as you hear three sets of feet enter your house and shuffle through. "They just walk in like that?" You question as you hear scattered voices in the house.

Gareth just nods, letting out a sigh as he looks for his drum sticks. "God dammit! Where did I put them?!" He scolds to himself.

"Gareth, come on man!!" The voices call to him from the garage. You get up as well and start to look, the boys getting more and more temperamental. "Go talk to them Gare, I'll help you look, okay?" You chimed as he groaned.

Along with another sigh he walks out to the garage to meet the guys as you look. You walk around your house for a bit and on the kitchen counter you spot drum sticks. As you laugh to yourself you swoop them up and make your way to the garage, your eyes focused on the drum sticks as you walk.

You make your way into the garage and start talking at your brother, never bothering to look up. "Hey bro here are your sticks, I told you you shouldn't have important things with you when you're about to eat, you forget about them-" You finally look up and see four figures staring back at you.

"Ah! thanks y/n! I thought practice would be ruined!" Gareth cheers as he retrieves his sticks from your hands. "Well, you can always count on your older sister to save the day." You replied happily. You scan around the room, seeing a familiar face as you scan.

"Y/n..?"  Your eyes meet Eddie's, a childhood friend of yours.

"Eds..?"

There was a pause before he shot a wide smile, giving you a gentle hug. "Wow! I haven't seen you since we were like, what? thirteen?" He asks as his arms wrap around you. You can't help but feel your face heat up, he had grown so much, he looked so, so  different.

He pulls from your hug and you nod, "It's been a long time, I'm really happy to see you and Gareth stayed friends too!" You chime as you look over your shoulder. Gareth stares at the both of you, giving you looks that mean 'please god stop' and 'you're embarrassing me!'.

"Oh yeah, we became best of friends, right Gareth?" Eddie says as his eyes beam for Gareth's. He snaps out of trying to get you out to reply to Eddie, nodding with a thumbs up.

"Okay okay, I'll get out of your hair." You say as you back up to the door that connects from the garage to the main house. You point to Gareth, "Little bro, if you lose those sticks again, I'll kill you. Got it?" You order as he just rolls his eyes.

"Fine, now can you go? We have to practice." He whines like a little kid, making you reply with a small laugh. "Fine," You reply, mocking your little brother. "I'll be in my room if you need me." You finish as your eyes glance over to Eddie.

It was like he never took his eyes off you, when your glance meets his, he shoots you a small wink. You feel your knees start to buckle as you stumble into the house. As you laugh nervously, you slam the door and lean your back against it once it's closed.

"Oh shit.." You stammered out, knowing that you officially found your childhood acquaintance attractive.

Your brother's best friend, attractive.

Trying to shake it off, you stroll to your bedroom and close the door, deciding that scanning through a magazine wouldn't hurt. You scan through your mixtapes and find one that's all 70's rock n roll.

As you start to listen to the classic bands like Van Halen, Queen, Sex Pistols and others, you smile to yourself. "Well dad, you're a shit human, but, got pretty good taste in music." You sigh to yourself as you lay on your bed.

Laying stomach down, resting your chin in the palm of your hand as you mindlessly read through magazines.

About an hour later, you hear a knock at your bedroom door. "Ugh, Gareth I'm not going to make you lunch." You yell out, but hear a deep chuckle from behind the door.

"It's Eddie, sweetheart. Can I come in?" The voice calls from the other side. Butterflies start to swarm as you think for a second. "Sure, come in!" You call as you sit up on your bed, the door opens and Eddie has the sweetest smile on his face.

"Aren't you supposed to be practicing?" You interrogate as he leans against the doorway. "Told the guys I was going to the bathroom, they'd be weird if they asked what took me so long." He quipped, making you laugh.

Eddie starts inching into your room, taking a seat on the edge of your bed, "It is good to see you again, y/n." He says sheepishly as he looked at the floor. "You've grown up a lot Munson, it feels like yesterday we were the same height." You tease as he rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, it's a shame you stayed the same." He replies as you hit his arm. He starts laughing super hard and though you're annoyed, you can't help but join him.

"Look, Gareth is going to kill me, but.." Eddie sighs out, looking up at you longingly. "..I think I have a crush on his older sister." He says as he bites his lip. You sit and stare back at him, the familiar feeling of a blush rushing back to you.

He starts to inch closer to you, and you feel yourself doing the same.  "I won't tell him if you don't.." You purr as your faces are inches from each other.

Just then his hand cups your face, your lips lock into a soft, sweet kiss.

Your body swells with sparks as you pull away, taking a minute to process before you open your eyes. However when you do, Eddie is smiling back at you, his thumb rubbing your cheek.

"Then I guess we have a deal." He whispers as he gives you a gentle, quick peck before hopping up to get back to practice. "But I will say, he'll have to know at some point. I'm not going to hide you from the world." He said as he looked you up and down, shooting another wink as he disappeared down the hall.

It took everything in you to not shriek in joy, you covered your face with a pillow, squeezing it as you laid there. Awaiting his next arrival.
