Your heart was pounding out of your chest when you heard your name get called to the principal's office. You've never been in trouble in your life, what could've possibly happened? You walk into the office and your favorite teacher, Mrs. O'Donnell is standing there with the principal. "Hi y/n, please take a seat." She said softly as she motioned the wooden chair in front of her.

Hesitantly you sat where she instructed, as soon as you did your principal spoke. "Y/n, you're not in any trouble, okay? We just had a request for you." You sighed in relief as you smiled at them, giving a small nod to let them continue. "Ms. Y/l/n, you're one of our brightest students, if not the brightest. Now not many kids can measure up to your intellect. But we wanted to ask if you'd help." You stared back at them, giving another nod.

"We know you don't like talking, quite frankly you've been at this school four years and I don't think I've heard you once.." Mrs. O'Donnell said with a laugh, making you shift uncomfortably. She cleared her throat and continued, "But there are some students that need to graduate, and without you, they won't make it. Do you have it in your heart to help?" She pleaded. She was right, it's not that you couldn't talk, you just really didn't like it. After a quick few seconds of thinking, you smiled, motioning a thumbs up as your teacher and principal gleamed at you. "Excellent! You will start after school, go to the library and your first student will be waiting for you."

You got up and nodded, strolling back to your class, waiting for the bell to ring. You went through your classes per usual, you always showed up on time. Not because you had to, but because you really didn't have any friends to hold you back. No one wanted to talk to the girl who never talked back, you were an outcast. But as long as you could graduate, you thought you could suck it up. So you went about your day, thinking about what kind of student your teacher possibly thought of to pair you up with. You sat in your last class, scribbling notes, when you felt a tap on your shoulder. A girl with red, shoulder length hair was smiling back at you. "Hey.. do you know the answer to this one..?" She whispered. You just stared back at her, she smiled a little bit. "You're the mute girl, aren't you?" You nodded.

"Well.. I'm Robin, and from what I can tell, you're really smart. Help a girl out?" She asked once more, you turned your head back and quickly scribbled not just the one answer, but all the answers onto a piece of notebook paper. You handed it behind you and back to her, and she let out a small giggle. "For being tongue tied, you're not too bad. What's your name?" She inquired as she toyed with the edges of the notebook paper. You took the paper from her, scribbling "y/n" At the bottom of it, handing it back to her. "Well, y/n, It was nice, uh, talking to you?" You gave her a small smile, turning back around as the bell rung signaling school was out for the day. "See you around!" She said as she swiftly left the classroom.

Robin left the classroom where you were and met up with the whole gang. "You're late." Steve grumbled as he sat on the edge of his car.

She rolled her eyes, "Give me a break, I was in class." She stared around at everyone's faces. "Where's Eddie?" She asked.

"He's staying after for tutoring, school's orders if he wants to graduate." Dustin replied, "I guess it's with this girl that never talks, so I wonder how that will go.." His voice trailed off as he got lost in thought.

Robin's ears perked up, "Tongue-tied! I know her! Her real name is Y/n." She gleamed. "She helped me in class today, pretty nice for someone who never says a word." She smiled to herself.

"Let's just hope Eddie doesn't scare her off." Steve quipped.
