"Dear sister, for what reason are you brooding tonight?"
"And for what reason should you not be knocking and pausing outside?" I asked with dissatisfaction with her hasty barging in.
"Oh, forgive me. I suppose you could call me worried---"
"Leave, Zafira. Your presence is nothing but a nuisance to me. I am certain that you are only here to mock. Given, that you brought your.... borrowed woman." I said dismissing her, but the prick could not discern phrases for she managed to kiss her baggage right in front of me. Imbecile .
"Oh, my apology.... again. It is difficult to behave well knowing that I hold an exceptionally 'woman' in between my arms." her voice sounded mocking and boasting.
But before I could utter words of displeasure, the door swung open. Revealing the reason for my despair tonight. When did people lose the ability to knock?
"Perhaps, that is our cue to leave." they walked towards the door for what it was worth. "Lovely Evening to you, Your grace."
The virtuous duchess simply nods her head before making her way towards me..... or not. She grabbed the bottle of rum beside me and poured herself a drink.
"Should you not be kneeling to me? You are in the presence of Duchess, Lady Arden."
"I believe I already kneeled last night, Your Grace. With you crying out my name as you reached the highest peak." I zip on my drink watching her cheeks turn red.
However, this lady could not let me win even for a single round. She grabbed the whole bottle and poured my favorite rum into my favorite plant.
"If you are so angry with me then please do tell. I could not stand to see you gazing at me with.... hateful eyes." pain was evident in her voice that made the barrier surrounding my heart hastily crumbled.
"I am beginning to despise the power you hold over me, Celestina." I bowed down and offered my hand. "May I have this dance?" I felt her delicate hands so I slowly stand up and held her waist.
"I already detest that I could only perceive that when we are alone in this gloomy and dark room of yours, Elle," she said frowning her angelic face.
"Perhaps, I should talk it to Mrs. Marley tonight. Then, once the sun rises, it will be the talk of the entire town. I love the thrills." I said suggesting.
"Silly. And let ourselves be hanged and killed?" she asked turning my smile to grimace. "It's 1419, Darling. Perharps, you could say that we are the only peculiars here." I smiled upon hearing the date.
"1419. The best year of our entire life. Would you not say?" her lips curled upward as I gave them a peck.
"There are times that I feel withering because of thoughts that life will end and so what we have. We could not even reap the chance to let our love be known." her response gave rise to the pain inside my chest.
As I snaked my arms tighter into her waist, I felt our heartbeats in sync. May it be for happiness, joy, agony, despair, or love. All I have in my mind is she is the only potion to this perilous poison.
"I wish to love you in all realities and timelines, my love. With no obstacles and freer than we could ever be." She prayed as a single tear dropped from her eyes. I leaned closer and kiss her orbs.
"I wish nothing for myself but freedom for her." I whispered not towards her but to the good old Lord.
