Season 1 - Episodes 5-7

Keatyn's POV

    I'm in awe as I stare at my grandfather. "I- how am I here?" He lets out a deep laugh and smiles at me, before engulfing me in a hug. "I think you know exactly how and why you are here my dear. But before we get into that, let me see you! You look beautiful my little sunflower!" He says with tears in his eyes. I look around him to see if it's just us.  "Are they he-" "No your parents aren't here dear. I'm sorry. You know it's too risky right now. Now, what's going on?"

  I stare down at my feet, not wanting to tell him why I jumped from that cliff. "Honey, I know you're embarrassed but please open up to me. You know I can't keep you here too long because five mintues here is five hours in your world and I'm not letting you leave until I know you're okay." I huff and cross my arms. "Why can't I just stay here? Is it still that dangerous?"

   He shakes his head and plays with a strand of my hair. "I wish I could tell you everything but I can't right now. You and your sister are much safer where you are. It was honestly a very rash decision to bring you here and I shouldn't have endangered you like this. But I had to make sure you were okay." I curl my arms around him and start to sniffle. "But afi, I'm evil. I don't deserve your love. I don't deserve anyones love! I'm- I'm a demon! Kaelyn is the angel and I am the demon, afi." (Grandad)

   I try to tear myself away from him but he just holds me tighter. "Oh my little sólblómaolía. You are not evil and you are worthy of love." (Sunflower). He wipes a few tears from my face and strokes my hair. "I'll let you in on a little secret okay? Your twin and you are not fully angel or demon. You both are a healthy dose of each. You are both light and dark, not one or the other. And one day, you will rule over hell, heaven, and all supernatural creatures. You know why? Because you have something your sister doesn't. You accept the dark and the light. You know you're not perfect but also strive to be a good person. The most powerful people know that you can't have good without evil, dear."

  My eyes start to water again and my mind is going everywhere. "Wait. I will rule? I don't understand afi. That's your job and Kay is much better at those things. Plus my magic is literally black! And hers is white! That just shows our true colors, literally." He takes a deep breath and looks me in the eyes. "Keatyn. You need to have more confidence. Forget about all the dark and light stuff for a few minutes okay? Just think about yourself. Do you find yourself helping others even if it hurts you? Do you ever put others needs ahead of yours? Do you protect others from evil? I don't even need you to answer because I already know the answer. Just because you have darkness in you doesn't mean you don't also have light. You are a good person and let people use and walk all over you way too much. You. Are. Good." He says while shaking my shoulders.
