She jumped in his arms squinting her eyes open when she heard loud alarms blasting into her ears. Stretching, she reached her arm out to grab her phone. Groaning she shut the alarm, but the louder noise was still going off, close to ripping her ears off. She double-checked her phone to make sure it wasn't acting up.
Running on two-three hours of sleep with loud alarms waking you up wasn't exactly convenient. Riddhima shook Armaan's arm mumbling his name trying to locate the jarring sound. "Wake up Armaan, what is this sound? Where the hell is your phone?" She whispered, forcing him to sit up.
He groaned and reached his arm above his head to grab his phone which was placed on the armrest above their heads. "Why is your alarm so loud and why do you even have one?" he heard her complain as she got up to wear her slippers and move towards the bathroom.
"I didn't want you to sleep through yours and mine had to be loud enough so I could wake up"
"Didn't make any difference! I still woke you up" She yawned moving into the bathroom and shutting the door behind her. He looked at his watch to check the time. There wasn't enough time for her to get dressed and make something for breakfast, however if he made something for her while she got dressed, she could.
He heard the shower running so he got started on the sandwich she loved. Simultaneously, he folded the blanket and made sure whatever mess present in the living room was cleaned. In the meantime, Riddima stepped out of the shower, smelling like lilies, with wet hair, looking all fresh. She had her scrubs on and she looked like she was ready to leave.
"Okay I'm gonna leave! I am already late" She said running around the apartment gathering her things. She had her running shoes in one hand and her purse in the other. She totally, unintentionally, ignored the breakfast prepared by Armaan and dashed past him to sit on the couch to wear her shoes.
"Are you gonna sleep here or go back to your place? Actually no stay here, you barely slept at all!" She ordered while tying her shoe. Armaan shook his head and crouched on his knees in front of her, tying the shoelaces of her other foot making her smile at him.
"Relax!" He muttered tightening the laces she tied herself, "I am actually going to drive you and then go to my place. And there I made you a sandwich. There is no way you're going to work on an empty stomach" he grabbed the keys to his black Mercedes Benz while pointing to the kitchen counter.
Amazed at his gesture she smiled at him thankfully. "I'll go by myself Armaan you just came back a few hours ago" she negotiated feeling bad about him missing out on his sleep. The poor guy had already driven to her place after a tiring night shift.
"Riddhima it wasn't a question, let's go" he exclaimed without looking at her. She followed him out of the door, locking it securely before running after him towards the elevator.
