Sensing his strong gaze, she squinted her eyes open, hearing hushed voices. Her vision tried to clear but it took time to adjust to the light. She couldn't make out the two people standing, but she could tell it was a lady and a man wearing lab coats. Before she could identify the man, he left the room.

"Dr. Kriti?" She asked in a hoarse whisper as her vision cleared. Who was the other man? Was it Armaan? Unfortunately, he had left before she could identify him. She had a gut feeling that it was Armaan but, then Muskaan's words rang in her ears, that he had gone home. Who could it be?

"How are you feeling Riddhima?" Dr. Kriti smiled at her, not using the formal tone since Riddhima was the patient at the moment. She looked at her chart to make sure everything was going smoothly.

"okay I guess, when can I start working?" Riddhima asked impatiently. She had been always fond of hospitals, syringes, medications until she herself landed in the one. She couldn't believe she wanted to get out of the hospital for once.

Kriti's eyes widened and she chuckled. "Woah! Hold your horses girl!" Riddhima frowned uneasily. "This right here," she lightly tapped her bandaged leg with her pen, "is going to take 6-8 weeks to heal! So, you might want to stop thinking about work for the time being!"

"You mean I'm gonna be stuck here for 1.5-2 months???" Riddhima shockingly asked. Kriti apologetically smiled at her while Riddhima just pouted turning teary eyed. "But–"

"Don't worry, we're going to send u home in a week! Then you will just be coming in for regular check ups!" Kriti informed her and she sighed thinking at least she'll be home. The thought of her not working for almost two months made her heart sink. What the hell could she possible do sitting at home.

Besides work, she didn't really have anything to do at home since she had no family. Often people complained about a nagging mother who would ask them to make home at night but, those people didn't know how lucky they were. There was nobody at home who was expecting her and this made her feel horrible.

All the friends she had were in the same work field as her, so nobody had time for her. Anjali, well she wasn't on good terms with her so she was out of question. She obviously couldn't tell Rahul or Muskaan to leave everything and sit with because they had now double the amount of work load because this accident.

The only family she had was her sister, and Armaan. She obviously couldn't call her sister here because of the conversation they had a day ago. When her sister had called, she had told her she couldn't come because of all of her cases lined up, she couldn't leave her clients hanging. On top of that, her husband and her one-year old son also needed her there. Obviously Riddhima understood, she always had. She wasn't used to having many people around.
