Will slowly opened his eyes once again, squinting at the light. He felt a warmth next to him, but didn't move his head. He couldn't, after all...he has broken his neck.

"Hey...you awake?" Mike whispers from next to him. Will did his best to nod, slightly out of it from pain meds. "Your mom will be here soon. She wanted to take El home. How are you feeling?..."

"Bad." Will whispers. "Maybe...this is what Jonathan feels like when he's high." He says, causing Mike to chuckle. His voice was so weak. Broken. Barely a whisper.

"There you go, making sentences. Will the Wise is powering through huh?" Mike says, pulling out a marker. He then signed Wills one cast.

Mike :) <3

Will looks at it, blushing lightly. "Did you sleep?..."

"Yeah. I did. This bed is actually pretty comfortable. You're lucky."

"How's max?.."

Mike glanced away, a sad look on his face. "She's...still not so good. Still in the coma, fighting for her life. We are all so worried..." Mike says.

And Will couldn't help but feel guilty. He had just gone through the same thing, and now he was awake and doing his best at talking. Maybe he should've died. Maybe it would of made her wake up.

"Oh Will...can I ask you something serious?..."

Will nods the best he can. "Should...I be scared?"

"No no of course not!" Mike says quickly. "No it's just....it's probably non of my business but I heard the nurses and your mom talking. When they were trying to..fix you up they noticed some things on you... your arms specifically. Cuts, Will. And they didn't seem to be an accident..." Mike says, doing his best not to make it...weird.

Wills face paled. He instantly looked away, heart rate rising. "Oh." Is all he says. "I-it's not what it looks like, Mike-"

"Will it's okay if it is." Mike says softly.

Mike slowly interlaced their hands, and with his other hand he cupped Wills face. "Talk to me."
