I promised my half-sister, Topaztail, that I would meet her in secret in the caves not to far from our territory. The moon was shining like a diamond, however it was all to silent. As if starclan were not there. I stared up at the sky and saw it was full of stars. Why did I feel so uneasy? I had done this before. Many times before. The moon was high up in the sky. Almost midnight. Speeding through the trees, I finally made it there. Suddenly, I saw a extremely stern face glaring at me from a distance.
"What took you so long?!" Topaztail snapped as she unsheathed her long bramble like claws.
"I'm sorry." I panted "I had to make sure no-one followed me."
"Right," She mewed suspiciously "Can you follow me Quartzflower?"
"Sure!" I meowed as I bounced along, forgetting how tired I was.Slowly, I padded into the dark, damp cave. The cave walls slowly closed inwards and I started to feel more clostrophobic.
"How long now?" I questioned as my whiskers brushed up against the cold walls.
"Not long..." She mewed "Trust me." Her mew seemed as if she was scolding a kit who was playing with a piece of pray.
"We're here." Topaztail wispered softly. As my eyes ajusted, she told me to sit down.
"So Quartz how are you?"
Only cats close to me call me Quartz, so I an fine with it.
"QUARTZ!" She snapped.
"Oh! I'm good. You?"I meowed back calmly
"I'm good."
Ugh we could of said all this at a gathering, but no! She had to choose now.
"Quartz." She meowed cooly as she rubbed her paw under my chin.
"You have no idea." Her mew was sharp and harsh. "You don't know what it's like to be me!" Her voice started to sound shaky.
"What do you mean?" I asked her back in a hushed wispered. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine!" She snapped. "But you're not half clan are you?"
"N... no I'm not. Why?"
"Then you don't understand!" Her growl was like a roaring lion.
"My mother is your mother. However you already knew that, but my father was a riverclan tom."
"OK?" I replied confused.
"To mother. You. Are. The. Best. But not to me. To me you are nothing." Her lip curled up showing every single tooth.
"Now I will bring you pain."
"WHAT?!" I growled, unshething my claws.
"I promise it won't last long." She hissed.I leaped at her with my claws as sharp as a knives pointing at her. "You brought me here to harm me in private. Didn't you?" I hissed loudly.
"I'm training with the dark forest and you're my fist victim."
She leaped and dug her claws into my neck and I suddenly blacked out.I look over at Quartzflower her small, short haired body lay there. The blood had stopped running down her and had stained her fur. I started to pad away Mapleshade and Tigerstar will be proud proud of me. I lifted my head up high and started to pad out. The floor was as cold as ice in leaf bare. A chill ran down my spine, this was creepier than the dark forest. I padded onwards my whiskers brushing against the frigid stone walls. Before I could go any further I heard a voice "stop...right...there."
"Tigerstar, Mapleshade?" I yowled in joy as I whipped round.
"It's not them. It's me. You're half sister you just knocked me out. A low growl rumbled in my throat.
"I am loyal to the dark forest only. They are great powerful cats there that should still be here fighting against cats like you, but I will never harm you again if you let me live " I mewed softly, I could see Tigerstar and Mapleshade beside me telling me to not promise this. Why would I promise this.
"Fine, never come into my territory again and never speak to me again." Quartzflower hissed cruel as she unsheathed her claws "and don't you dare thing about harming me again."
"I won't I won't." I whispered to her. I sped on towards the entrance of the tunnel. The sky was melting into a light blue however it was a orangey black. I carefully climbed up the rocky cave entrance. I noticed her slowly crawling put of thee tunnel. Looking around for me she slowly padded on. I leaped down with my claws unsheathed and landed on her I dug my claws into her neck I kept them in even after she went limp. Just incase. Before padding away. They would be proud this time. I wriggled into the river to clean the blood of my pelt and left for my clan.As I curled up in my nest, I had great dreams of what the dark forest cats would make me. For even I will be powerful.
I pad onwards who does she think she is? Attempting to end me so much. She is a horrible cat with a heart of dirt I hiss to myself. I stifled a huge yawn I was so tired from everything that had happened. I sprinted off into camp, my legs shaking with tiredness I couldn't wait to curl up into my moss. Dispite it being sunrise I could curl up in my nest and sleep for a moon. My eyes felt heavy and I could barely walk. As I sped on I started to wobble. Suddenly, I colapsed.
As I woke up, I thought it was just some crazy dream. However, as my eyes ajusted I realised I was in the medicine den with cobwebs on my wounds. For some reason Ginger dusk knew what happened.
