Aftermath [Steddie]

THE TALK..

Steve woke meeting his eyes with Eddie's he was on the chair reading it shocked Steve that Eddie got up moved by himself for the first time showing he's clearly getting better but still he will have to go to the hospital soon incase he has an infection or some sort of sickness.
He was planning on talking about it with everyone then decide a day then.

"Oh hey Eddie" Steve whispers in a soft raspy voice catching Eddie by surprised
"Morning Harrington" "Hey you know you snore right" Eddie raised an eyebrow
"Yeah I've been told" Steve yawned

Steve got up didn't do much besides trying to wake up so he can talk to Eddie so he could comprehend what Eddie was even saying

"Hey I wanna talk about a few things" Steve said grabbing something out of a brown paper bag pulling out candy cigarettes
"Here's you a small treat" Steve winked throwing the candy at Eddie hitting Eddie chest
"Ouch I'm still wounded and in painnnnn Stevieee" Eddie spoke dragging out about every word
"Oh shut up muson" Steve rolled his eyes
"You sure do tell me it every day" Eddie sighed
"And you never listen do you" Steve said laughing

"Anyway about the vest I was meaning to give it back.." Steve said lying through his teeth he actually really wanted to keep it
"Oh Harington I would love to keep it as it being my favorite vest but you have to keep it" Eddie said picking up the vest hugging it then throwing it at Steve

Steve didn't speak just looked down at the vest not sure to insist or to just take it
"Steve Harrington speechless?!?" "It can't be!" Eddie sat up in the chair as if he was being told middle school gossip

"Thanks man.." Steve said still looking down at the vest every detail was observed the bloodstains, the dirt, and all the small rips and holes
"Sorry it's so ruined" Steve said in sorrow
"Nah man it's fine that's what makes it special" Eddie gave a soft smile up at Steve
"It isn't it's my fault me and the others let you into the upside down knowing it was dangerous" Steve confessed as if he were the one to hurt Eddie
"Steve I WANTED to go I had to, I wasn't going to stay there knowing you guys needed as much help as you could" Eddie waved his hands around as he spoke truthfully
"What if-" Eddie cut Steve off
"No not what if Steve in some other universe I might of never spoke to you and I can't bare to think what life would be like where I didn't meet you or Robin or any of those shitty kids" Eddie sighed

"You know we went to school at the same time" Steve said changing subjects
"Yeah I'm not an idiot" Eddie chuckled
"I remember once when I was playing basketball I accidentally smacked you in the face with the ball" Steve said while laughing so hard his stomach hurt
"You know its not that funny and I'm PRETTY sure you did it on purpose because you DID call me a freak after" Eddie mentioned causing Steve to stop laughing
"Oh-" "hm well your not a freak" Steve shrugged
"If I'm not a freak your not a douchebag"
"Was I really that bad?!" Steve said as if he had forgotten
"Are you really that oblivious harrington?" Eddie face palmed
"Im really starting to believe you never finished school"Eddie said while questioning how in the world this man passed
"What do you mean my grades were perfect just like this hair" Steve winked and ran his fingers through his hair
"I guessss... beauty can beat brains just this once" "I can make an exception just for Steve the "hair" harrington" you could practically see Steve's teeth glowing from how big he was smiling causing Eddie to become a little flustered

They sat in silence both thinking about the same thing
The thing Eddie wanted to say but couldn't muster up the courage to say and neither of them knew how to bring it up...

"Can we talk?" they both blurted out

"You go first" still both in synce

"Okay one of us please just go!" Eddie groaned
"Well mines about last night you said we would talk about it today.." Steve said giving Eddie a surprise
"Weird... I also wanted to talk about... that" Eddie said sort of eying Steve
"Wow I would of thought you wouldn't want to talk about it since you keep avoiding the subject" "munson is full of surprises I see" Steve said putting his hands in his hips
"Do you want me to tell you or not?!" Eddie asked just wanting to get this over with
"Of course I do!"
"Then shut your mouth and let me talk Harrington!" Eddie yelled
"Jesus Christ okay man!" Steve cried

Steve took a seat on the bed facing Eddie both not sure how to start but Steve let Eddie say what he needed.

"To start this off I have to say don't think of me any different I'll still be the same old freak Munson" Eddie sighed
"Why would I unless you murdered someone" "did you actually kill Chrissy!?" Steve jumped up acting like Eddie would do such thing
"NO STEVE you really think that poorly of me don't you" Eddie said not even caring at this point
Steve didn't respond he tended to do that quite a lot

"I just wish this way fucking easy to say" Eddie said starting to back out
"You can tell me anything man!" Steve said with puppy dog eye
"Fine UGH GOD I hate you" Eddie said leaning back in the chair no longer looking at Steve instead looking at the ceiling
"I hate you too Munson" Steve laughed

"Steve" Eddie said in a whisper
"Yeah?"
"You know how you look at sayy Molly Ringwald?" Eddie asked
"Uhhh" Steve said a little confused
"Okay Brooke Shields!" Eddie said knowing Steve would get it this time
"Oh yeah she's hot but what does that have to do with anything?" Steve asked
"We'll I don't see any of them like that Steve" Eddie explained
"We'll not everyone has the same type some people prefer Demi Moore or something" Steve said confused on where Eddie was leading this conversation
"I mean I'm gay Steve !" Eddie said straight up this time so Steve could understand

"Oh." "Eddie.." Steve said while Eddie thought Steve saw him differently now but Steve's thoughts were different than what anyone would think.

No one said much after that for the rest of the day it was quiet in the house

Steve went to work the next day instead of taking the 2 day offer Robin had gave him he really just wanted to talk to her

Eddie was asleep when Steve got ready and left for work

Steve picked Robin up they were just a minute or two away from family video when Steve said something
"Something weird happened"
"What isn't weird anymore?" Asked Robin
"Not what I mean but you aren't wrong" Steve sighed
"Am I ever?" Robin said smiling while finishing up her last bit of makeup
"Allll the time" Steve said while rolled his eyes at her

They pulled up into the parking lot of family video and headed inside where they would continue their conversation

"Oh what was so weird you had to tell me" Robin said putting her hands on her chin kneeling behind on the counter looking at Steve
"We'll I got rejected" Steve sighed
"Nothing new should of thought" Robin said now uninterested
"No I mean-" "it was someone I didn't even ask out" Steve said trying to get Robin to listen
"Okay? That's happened many times at scoops ahoy" Robin still uninterested
"Robin you don't understand!" Steve cried
"Okay what do I not understand Steve?" Robin said with an eyebrow raised
"It was a guy Robin a GUY" Steve yelled getting robins full attention

Robin had a smirk all across her face it was shining as bright as day

"So tell me"
"Tell you what Robin?" Steve said confused
"Tell me how it happened how did this so called guy rejected you?" Robin said giggling
"We we're talking and he just up and told me he was gay!" Steve whispering trying not to get any looks from the few customers in the store

Robin face palmed at what Steve had just said

"So that's all he said?" Robin asked
"Yeah we went quiet after that" Steve sighed
"Your such a dingus Steve!" Robin groaned
"He didn't reject you" Robin said getting a confused look from Steve
"But all the girls-" Steve said suddenly realizing
"Oh.."
"YEAH you were basically given an invitation" Robin said flicking Steve's forehead

You could basically see the blush on Steve's face
but it quickly faded when he realized Eddie probably thought Steve was thinking down on him now

"So Steve tell me" Robin smirked

"Do you like this guy?"

Now this is where it really starts
This one I purposefully made longer 500 words longer than normal :)
But I was going to do Eddie's POV but I thought I would give you this so you didn't have to wait another day

FYI TYYY FOR 100 reads means a lot this was just a day dream I had and brought to life! And ty to my best friend who encouraged me to actually make it
