Jennifer wore a bright orange sundress that fell to her ankles, but hugged every curve. Luna had noticed Jennifer noticing Alec checking her out, after her friend walked out of view, however, he winked at Luna. Gross. The blonde was going to ignore him, and deny his advances. Jen had told Luna the other day she thought they might be mates, she always thinks about him, and got jealous when she heard about Alec and Luna's fling. Luna's green orbs still spotted Jen, flashed her white teeth, and even a couple winks at some boys. The blonde knew she was beautiful, but didn't really see anything she liked, she was picky.
"So, when are we flying there?" Jen asked as she pawed through the dress selections, occasionally holding one up to Luna. That was one thing Luna loved about her friend, Jen always put others first. Though she was going to be the stylist and needed a grand dress, she was taking her job seriously, and was taking measuring tapes from the workers, yelling Luna's sizes across the store. Jen loved the store they were in, they were used to her behavior.
"Well, we're leaving in two days, the first flight lands in Phoenix, then the second plane takes us to Vegas, Baby!" Luna smiled and Jen jumped up and down with excitement.
"You know we're gonna get hammered our first night there, right?" Jen asked as she held up earrings to Luna's earlobes.
"I thought that was going to be every night?" Luna said, and both girls laughed.
"Yeah, at least until y'all get released into the forest..." Jen trailed off as she turned around to look at makeup.
"Well, yeah, so what's the deal with that? They wait until we're all mated then we can come back?" Luna asked her friend as they walked over to the checkout counter.
"Uh, well, you're in there for three days-"
"THREE DAYS?!" Luna yelled, and nearly dropped everything in her arms.
"Yes, Honey. You're gonna have to find water, food, shelter. But I think you'll do fine!" Jen smiled as they placed everything on the counter.
Yeah, I really hope so. I don't really have much of a choice.
The girls collected the bags, and walked out of the store, towards a coffee shop.
"It'll be just like when we used to camp! Or when we'd all go on overnight runs and stuff!" Jen said excitedly, grabbing a cookie off the counter.
"Except there's possibly over 40 horny, possessive werewolves who are fighting over mates everywhere." Luna grabbed a cookie as well, and both girls got their coffees. Jen walked them over to a small table, and placed down the bags before sliding into a chair. Luna sat down across from her, relieved to be able to put down the bags.
"Well that's the fun part," Jen smirked as she took a sip of her iced coffee. Luna rolled her eyes, worried about the fighting over her. She wished she could make it to where they didn't know she was an alpha's daughter, or the pack she came from. The blonde silently cursed her mother for giving her such an obvious name.
"Not to sound conceited–"
"Because you're not!"
"But I won't be comfortable with people dying and tearing each other apart for me." Jen threw her head back and laughed loudly.
"Honey, Sweetie Pie, you're an alpha's child, and you're like a hot barbie, just different eyes! You're gonna have to get used to it. And you're forgetting the most important reason as to why you're there. The fucking prince hand picked you! He wanted you to come, that's just bananas." Luna groaned as she sipped her iced coffee.
"I had totally forgotten about him."
"How could you? He's totally hot."
"Why don't you go for him, then? Queen Jen!" Jen gasped then jokingly brushed the imaginary crown on her head.
