"Oh, my name is Lunalyn, but I go by Luna. I'm from the Harvest Moon Pack. My dad's the alpha." The blonde tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"What a suitable name. No wonder the prince selected you." Jagger smiled. Luna winced.

"Yeah, he's not exactly my type. He's definitely not my mate." Luna said and smiled back at Jagger. She couldn't stop looking into his gorgeous eyes.

"One strawberry margarita for Luna!" Jen paddled over with a margarita in one hand and the other in her cup holder. Jagger looked over at Jen and he smirked.

"I take it this is your best friend?" he laughed as she reached them.

"Yes sir! And don't you forget it! You break her heart, I break your face. Got it?" Jen looked totally serious. It only caused Jagger to laugh harder.

"Oh I promise not to hurt her-"

"Hey Jen, who's this guy?" Alec came out of nowhere in swim trunks and he started growling at Jagger.

"Alec, he's been talking to Luna, so I was warning him not to hurt my bestie. Calm down, Baby." Jen handed Luna her drink and put both of her hands on Alec and coaxed him to get a raft and go on the lazy river with her. Luna sipped on her drink and Jagger stood all the way back up.

"The lazy river sounds fun. Mind if I grab a raft and float with you, Princess?"

"Only as long as you don't call me that nickname." Jagger threw his head back and laughed, walking away to grab a float. Luna floated over to the bar and asked for an ashtray. They gave her one after she gave her name, and they came with complimentary blunts. Luna suspected Jen had something to do with it. Luna pulled out her cigarettes from her top and sparked one up, holding back laughter as Jagger walked over with a unicorn.

"Like my steed?" Jagger asked as he got on it, and floated over to Luna.

"It's better than mine." Luna smiled as she gestured to her purple raft, but it did have three cup-holders. Jagger eyed the ashtray.

"I also partake in smoking of the ganja... if I don't have alpha duties, of course."

"Of course," Luna smiled as she took a sip of her margarita and puffed on her cigarette. Luna and Jagger passed many other werewolves. Most were talking or kissing, some of the males were trying diving and chicken competitions. A lot of the women were tanning, and there were groups playing volleyball. The blonde werewolf was admiring the flowers in the garden.

"This is great, I was worried it'd be all uptight, but this is pretty relaxing." Luna said to Jagger and they were only a few people behind Jen and Alec who were sucking each others faces.

"Unfortunately it won't always be like this." Jagger said as he sipped his whiskey and took a hit off Luna's blunt. The blonde nodded.

"I think it's quite barbaric. And the prince made it to where we can't feel our own mates. Until the games, that is." Jagger nodded and looked over at Luna.

"I know it's kind of soon, but I can help make sure you don't get hurt." Luna looked into his dark blue eyes and saw sincerity. Well that's good because I hope you're my mate. Luna thought to herself.

"You won't try to force me into anything?" Luna eyed him, to gauge his reaction. His eyes widened and he looked disgusted.

"I would much rather have my partner be willing to mate with me." Was all Jagger said.

"Well, I have a feeling I'll need help because I think the prince might come after me. I don't want you to get hurt." Luna touched his arm and smiled sadly.

"You think I can't take him on?" Jagger challenged.

"Oh I mean I'm sure. But I'm sure he's not the easiest opponent." Luna finished her drink as they were heading back towards the caves. Speak of the devil and he shall appear. Luna thought as the doors at the castle were thrown open and the prince walked out, flanked by guards. He had his usual swooped over hairstyle, his golden eyes taking in everyone at the pool. Luna saw Angel sit up and take her sunglasses off, strutting towards the prince.

"Hello, your majesty, may I get you a drink?" She smiled as she saw his eyes raking over her exposed body. Luna rolled her eyes and Jagger pulled them into one of the caves.

"Let's get another drink," Jagger smirked at Luna and she had to calm her wolf down. She was grateful he swept her away from the groping eyes of the prince. She didn't understand why he wanted her so much. She clearly didn't want him, and he had other females throwing themselves at him. She knew she'd have to dance with him tonight at the ball. Luna would make sure she got a dance with Jagger, too.

"One margarita, for Miss Luna." Jagger handed her the drink he got for her. He got another whiskey on the rocks. They both picked their feet up and had found a bungee cord to keep their rafts from floating away from each other.

"They really thought of everything," Luna said as she slid her side of the cord around her handlebar.

"They figured some mates might want to float together." Jagger winked and Luna felt herself get lightheaded almost. They floated out of the cave and she saw the prince and they made eye contact. Shit, She thought to herself. She was just trying to figure out where he was and avoid it at all costs. The green eyed girl turned her head back towards Jagger, she didn't miss the growl that rumbled out of his chest.

"So how do you like the..." Luna trailed off as she saw Jagger was having a stare down with the prince. This is not good. Jen, Jagger and the prince are staring each other down. What should I do? Luna mindlinked her best friend. Jen swam out of the cave and was adjusting her top.

"Ohh... this is good." Jen smiled as she pulled Luna's float away from the two males. Jagger noticed he was floating backwards and he stood up out of the float, growling at the prince. Connor narrowed his eyes, and the ladies that were rubbing on him also glared at Jagger.

"How dare he growl at you? You're the prince! Your majesty, you should have him banned from the games!" Angel's shrill voice cut through the music.

"Oh no, it's fine. I'll deal with him inside the arena." Connor smirked evilly and it made Luna shudder. She didn't understand how the girls surrounding him couldn't sense or see his dark behavior. It was either naivety, or their eyes were too clouded by his pretty looks and title.

"Jagger, please, let's just go back around the lazy river." Luna called but he didn't move. The blonde clambered out of her float and walked over to Jagger, grabbing his hand. Jagger didn't change his stance. Luna did what her mother always did to calm her father's wolf, she grabbed his face and pulled him in for a kiss. Jagger leaned in and grabbed her, pulling her closer, and a roar erupted out of the prince.
