(A/N: I appreciate everyone for being patient with me and still liking my stories. This is some of what I have, and I plan on writing more today. It feels good to be back.)

Luna couldn't believe he had the nerve to leave her family outside. She wanted the damn thing off her neck. He would look at her and she noticed some people bow their heads slightly when they come up to the table. Luna mainly pushed her ice cream around and turned her body away from the prince. She could feel his anger thrum through her body. Good. She still felt things when she briefly locked eyes with Jagger.

That must have been how the prince knew she was looking at Jagger. He could feel her love, her pull towards someone, and she was not looking at him. She jumped and emitted a quiet squeak when Connor placed his hand on her upper thigh. Her body slightly relaxed, but her brain made her stiffen slightly. Luna's body didn't know what to do. Her body knew the prince wasn't her true mate, yet it didn't reject his mark. Was it because it's only half?

"So tell me, Prince Connor," Summer looked over at him and he smiled handsomely at her. Luna noticed Nicholas stiffen and tried to cover his growl with a cough, but he still glared. This would be her life. Connor smiling and flirting with everyone, and making people too scared to express their true emotions because of his power. It made Luna sick.

"How do you feel, with the games being only two days away?" Summer quickly flashed her eyes to Luna before looking back into Connor's. Summer was testing him.

"Well, I'm certainly excited, it being the first one in many years." He dabbed his lips with a napkin.

"Why are you and Luna still entering if you've partially marked her?" Summer leaned in, not looking away from his eyes, almost challenging him.

"Good evening, Your Majesties, I'm Lucille Bane. I saw Alpha Carter and his Luna and had to simply say hello!" A beautiful woman had walked up to their table. She wore a dress that matched the deep blue of her eyes. The eyes certainly looked familiar to Luna, as did the last name. She must be Jagger's mom. She knows my parents?

"Lucy! It's been years!" Jennifer stood up and hugged Lucy.

"I had to come and see what all the fuss was about! My son simply would not stop talking about your daughter!" Her words hung in the air. Many of the guests sipped their wine slowly. Luna looked up at Lucy and noticed the woman was eyeing her neck. Luna felt Connor's grip on her thigh tighten as he held back a growl.

"But I see she has something on her neck... is that a mark?" Lucy peered at it and Luna didn't move.

"Well, Mrs. Bane, I was trying to mark her but something got in the way–"

"I see. I was also informed that Lunalyn Carter was to remain unmarked until at least the release of her in the arena. Who broke that rule? That's treason!" Once again, the table remained quiet. The king and queen cast their eyes over to their son. His mouth gaped open, as did Luna's. How could she have forgotten about that? She remembered learning it and it enraged her. It must have slipped her mind when she thought her fate was sealed.

"You are correct, Mrs. Bane. We will have a witch here to assist in getting it off of Luna."

"What?!" Prince Connor stood up, his outburst causing the entire dining room to fall into silence.

"Oh my, I didn't mean to cause such a stir." Lucy looked guilty, but her long friends knew she was calculated. Her plan worked exactly as she planned it to. Adam was beaming at his daughter, while Connor looked like he was about to throw Luna over his shoulder and run for the hills.

"Lucy, we will catch up once everyone is done with dessert." Jessica smiled and Lucy bowed at the royals and sashayed back to her table. Luna quickly gulped down her melted ice cream. She had to talk to the woman that gave her a second chance at life.

As soon as the dessert plates left the table Luna rushed outside to smoke another cigarette. Her hands were shaking. She could hear Connor raising his voice and then his voice got farther away. She could feel his anger, she figured someone was contacting the castle's witch. She was going to get this hideous thing off her neck, thanks to Jagger's mother.

"Hello Mate," Jagger embraced her and she breathed him in. She felt a low growl in his chest, and she assumed it was because she smelled like Connor. He couldn't keep his hands to himself the entire dinner. It was driving her insane. It made her horny and angry.

"Jagger! Your mother, I need to thank her."

"She is excited to meet you, but she knew we hadn't had any time together since all this." Luna licked her lips and grabbed Jagger by his hair and pulled him down to kiss her. They kissed passionately before hearing the doors open behind them. Luna broke away and looked to see Jasper.

"Hey there, Princess. The uh, witch is here."

"We have to do it tonight? I mean I want it off as soon as possible but my family–"

"Apparently it will only take a couple hours. Also, they're going to all be staying here while you're in the arena. So they won't be far." Luna grabbed Jagger's hand and he led her back into the dining hall. The blonde looked around and didn't see a member of the royal family present, which relieved her.

"This way," Thomas said, eyeing Jagger's hand in Luna's. He moved his eyes away and walked ahead of them, leading them out of the room and into a series of hallways. They walked into a medical room and there sat a tall woman. She had stunning, long black shiny hair and giant big blue eyes. Her hourglass shape was complimented with big breasts and a giant ass. Luna had never felt so unattractive in her life.

"Hello, I'm Meadow. Lunalyn, yes?" She spoke to them both. Luna nodded and Meadow turned her eyes to Jagger.

"And who are you, handsome?" Luna growled and it caused Meadow to throw her head back in laughter.

"I see why this must be removed. My apologies, Lunalyn." Meadow bowed slightly, and it made Luna's lip slightly curl up.

"No need to bow, and it's just Luna." The blonde eased up while Jagger helped her lay down in the bed.

"Okay, we need privacy, sorry handsome, gotta go." She clapped her hands and he disappeared.

"Okay, Luna. Let's get this dumbass' mark off you."

The prince stormed into the library, quickly followed behind by his parents.

"This is preposterous! She is MINE!" He roared at his parents and guards stood between his parents and himself.

"You're the one who made the rule in the first place. Besides, we needed to take something out of her anyway." Connor narrowed his eyes on his father.

"What the fuck do you mean?"

"Language! You are to be king and proper!" The king snarled at his own son.

"What I mean is she had an IUD inside of her anyway. It needed to come out." Connor was confused at first then remembered his chamber maids had them so he wouldn't knock them up.

"Good, so when I find and reclaim her I can go ahead and get her pregnant." Connor's eyes started glowing.

"This is still ridiculous."

"Son, you liked the chase right? Now this is more of a challenge. With that half mark it would be easier for you to find her. This will allow you to tap into your primal side. Your wolf side. You can let go and just focus on finding her." The king knew his son liked challenges. He didn't like being told no, and she was the only one to ever utter the words to him.

"Now go and get some rest or soil your oats or something. The games start the day after tomorrow. You better be ready." The king wrapped his arm around the queen who smiled at their son. They were escorted out by the guards, leaving Connor in the silent library.
