Women and wolves flew past her, and Luna looked back. She noticed a couple of girls had fallen off their platform and cried, clutching at their ankles. There were also some women that were sitting on their platforms, waiting for the males to appear. Luna kept running into the forest. The women didn't understand how the men were going to be. Some might even force markings onto them. The blonde could smell all the different women around her. Especially the ones who had shifted into their wolves.
The green eyed girl leaped over a stream and continued running after landing. She saw a short red haired woman holding the hand of a tall, slender dark haired woman. Ren and Emma! Luna jumped over a fallen tree and raced up to them.
"Ren! Emma!" All three girls hugged and Ren cast her golden eyes around.
"Okay, we still need to get the fuck out of here," Ren growled and started running. Luna nodded and ran after them.
The three women stopped and tilted their water jugs back, drinking greedily from them. They wiped their mouths and panted.
"I think we should run another mile and then find somewhere," Ren said to which Emma nodded.
"I'll tell you one thing they never trained us on," Emma purred as she put her hand on a tree.
"They never taught us how to climb." Luna smirked, it made sense. Why would werewolves be trained on climbing trees? Also, from the way Thomas had described how the men would be acting, most will be stuck in wolf form.
Luna relayed that information and Ren grabbed Emma and kissed her, spinning her around.
"My mate is a genius!" Emma flipped her hair over her shoulder, causing the other two to laugh. Their laughs were silenced by a gunshot. The men were on the loose.
Jen had made it to her seat just in time, she got to see Luna run off into the arena. You got this, Girl. Jen thought as she sat down by her family and Luna's parents.
"Oh hey Jen! How was Luna feeling this morning? We can't believe they didn't have a family breakfast or dinner last night." Jessica questioned, and Jen thought the same. She figured it was maybe to keep the families from sneaking their loved ones out.
"She seemed good. She is partnering up with Ren, Emma, Alec, Jagger, and Jasper. She should be good." Luna's parents smiled. The screens kept showing all the different women that were in all different places of the arena. Some were just now limping away, while a few others sat by a tree, facing where the males would come out. There was already a couple that had marked one another. Jen thought it could be a good idea, so no one else could mark their mate. But also the one receiving the mark will be exhausted. Jen wondered if it was Ren and Emma.
"Are you all ready for the males to enter?" An announcer asked, raising his hands in the air. The crowd screamed and hollered, losing their minds. The announcer smiled and his fangs elongated.
"Let the boys out!"
Jagger was breathing heavily, all the males were. They were in large cages, some had already shifted. Jagger was trying to remain in as much control as possible.
"Hey Jag, priority number one: find the princess," Jasper panted from next to Jagger. The blue eyed werewolf nodded and tried to keep himself from growling at his own beta. Jasper knew that Luna was Jagger's. Sunlight streamed in as doors slid down into the ground. Some men idiotically ran into the bars that were still up and whimpered. The males heard the crowd hollering, then a gunshot.
