Tyrion was still in the cells waiting for his trial by the orders of Cersei. Cersei also found out that Sansa was missing from the capital, where she put it in her head that Sansa was behind the murder of Joffrey. So now Cersei wants Sansa's head on a pike.
But Cersei was becoming more angry with her brother Jamie on taking Tyrion's side.
" Tyrion did not do it. He did not kill Joffrey! Why can't you see that!"
" I know he did. He told me he would. He killed my baby boy! And why are you taking his side?!" Cersei shouted at Jamie
" I will not let you kill him without reason!" Jamie shouted back.
Jamie was about to leave the room and go to his brother to get him out of the cells but Cersei grabbed something small from the desk and walked behind her brother, and she stabbed him in the back.
It stunned Jamie. He turned around to see his sister, his lover standing there with the small weapon in her hand. Cersei came again at Jamie, stabbing him in the room watching him die from each stab she gave him. Not that Jamie is gone and Tyrion was saved by Lord Varys. Cersei needed to act. She was able to make off the marriage with her daughter Princess Myrcella with Dorne and get her back to King's landing.
Having three of her children to protect became her upmost importance. For her only boy now, Tommen Baratheon, in truth an Lannister became the next King.

Mycrella was crushed about the broken engagement but she was able to move on but not for long. Since Tommen his the new King he will be needing a wife but Cersei does not want that right now.
