14. Misjudged

Avoiding Calum for the rest of the week was easier than expected. Between his shows and my videos, we wouldn't have seen each other much anyway. I just went the extra mile. It wasn't that I was annoyed with him or something, I just felt that there would be too much awkwardness if we came in contact with each other. Calum also hadn't made any efforts to find me.

I was just confused. I had no idea if the boy had feelings for me or not. I mean, he confessed in front of my parents but he treated me like he had.

We had just pulled in to New Jersey, the next city on the tour. I was especially excited since the Dolan twins and I had arranged to film a collaboration. I had honestly wanted to meet them for the longest time ever. This caused me to spend ages on my outfit for today.

If Calum could be flirty then so could I.

I wore a white dress with a dark green jacket over it (outfit on the side). I paired the outfit with my white sandal wedges.

I snapped a photo in the long mirror and posted it on Instagram with the caption '#OOTD :) filming a video today with some very cool people'. I tagged both the boys and updated my other social media accounts before getting ready to leave.

I arrived at their house about fifteen minutes early and knocked on their door. Grayson was the fist to see me and Ethan was situated behind him.

"Hey, Brooke! You're early!" Grayson greeted. Ethan invited me inside and guided me to the filming area.

"So I was thinking that we could do a video of loads of different challenges." I suggested. "What do you guys think?"

They both had smiles on their faces, "Brooke, sometimes you're so smart it scares me."

I laughed, "Well, sometimes you just scare me."

They feigned a hurt look.

"Ouch, Brooke. You have to take a selfie with me now."

"What?" I laughed. "No, I don't."

"I won't forgive you otherwise." Ethan insisted.

"Ugh. Fine." I groaned playfully. "Let's just hope I don't catch your ugliness." I joked.

As if that could happen.

I set the camera on a timer and got ready to start it. I was sationed in the middle with the twins on either side of me, kissing me cheeks. I pressed the camera button with my toe and got back into place, pulling an appropriate face. I saved it and uploaded it to Twitter and Instagram.

My phone buzzed a few minutes later. I pulled it out of my pocket and looked at the caller ID.

'Cal 🙈😜' is calling you.

It's really freaking strange how this boy who ignored for over a week without a problem has just called me after I posted a picture with two boys kissing my cheek.

What a coincidence.

I let the call ring until it went to voicemail. I didn't have time for Calum now, I refuse to let him come before my career.

"So, shall we start with the BeanBoozled challenge?" I asked, steadying the camera on the tripod. A good angle was hard to find.

We sat at the table in the living room, Grayson went to get the jelly beans.

"I'm going to die." I jokingly predicted.

Three challenges after, all three of us had had enough. Ethan had been strapped to the door with duck tape and I had been blindfolded with various items shoved in my mouth. Grayson had got lucky by just having to run down the street in his underwear, he usually has his shirt off anyway.
