"I wanted to apologise." I admitted. "How I acted was out of order and I shouldn't have gotten so defensive." I looked down, "So, I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry, too. The only reason why I feel so protective of you is because I know that we have something special." he revealed. "I get jealous because I don't want to lose you to anyone else." he bowed his head with embarrassment. "When I was in high school, I was quite a nerd. All of my girlfriends were way out of my league and the few that I had, usually dumped me for someone better."

"Calum. I'd absolutely hate for you to feel insecure by being with me."

He ignored me and continued, "Anyway, I was thinking about what you said earlier,"

"Calum." I sighed. "You know I didn't mean-"

"You said that I couldn't have these feelings because I'm not your boyfriend." He scooted closer to me, "And I want to change that."

I stayed silent this time.

"So, Brooklyn, will you be my girlfriend?"

I smiled and straddled his lap, cupping his face and pressing my lips to his. Calum was obviously caught off guard because of how long it took for him to kiss me back.

He tasted like cinnamon this time, probably due to the hundreds of packs of cinnamon-mint flavoured gum he has lying around.

Just as I was going to deepen the kiss, he detached our lips. "I guess I'll take that as a no, then?"

"What?" I questioned.

"I'm just kidding, baby." He chuckled.

"I'm so glad that we actually clarified what our relationship is," I rested my head in his neck, "That confusing inbetween gets really annoying after a while."

"You know what we are?" Calum asked.

"What?"

"We're like a soup can."

"What the fuck, Calum? Are you high or something?" I pressed my hand to his head to pretend that I was checking for a fever.

"Get it? 'Cause we have a label." He laughed.

I rolled my eyes and pushed him back on the bed, "Calum, you're such a dork."

"Yeah. But I'm your dork. And that makes all the difference."

"What do you want?" Lizzy snapped.

"I need to tell you something and you're not going to like it."

"So? What is it?"

"It's about Cameron." I started. I glanced up and down the corridor, checking that nobody was listening in.

"He's a player." I whispered.

"No he's not." she denied.

"Yes he is." I insisted.

"What are you talking about?"

"He's a player. and he's probably cheating on you right now." I predicted.

"Do you have proof?" Lizzy asked, her posture straight with a turned up nose.

I tapped my pocket to try and locate my phone but it was nowhere to be found. "No. I think I left my phone in Calum's room."

"Oh, let me guess. You were bitching to him about how mean I am to you." She clicked her teeth and shook her head. "I never thought you would stoop so low that you would lie about my boyfriend and try to break us up for revenge." she spat.

"What? I would never do something like that!" I defended. "I'm just trying to prevent your heart from getting broken!"

"Bullshit."

"Listen, Elizabeth. You need to get your head out from Cameron's ass and wake up! Can't you see that he is playing you?" I laughed sarcastically, "Wait. Of course you don't. Because you're wrapped around his dirty little finger."

"You know, your little boy toy is probably getting quite sick of all your drama."

I pulled a confused face, "Boy toy? Oh- do you mean my boyfriend?"

I smirked at her shocked face. "Whatever. You're only his girlfriend because he felt sorry for your pathetic life."

And to think that we were best friends less than three days ago.

I scoffed, "Whatever." I mimicked. "Talk to me when you realise you're wrong."

LIZZY'S POV

I slammed the door after Brooke stormed off. Who the hell did she think she was?

Sitting in my hotel room wasn't a very productive idea so I got up to make my way downstairs. I wanted to explore. We only had a maximum of three days in any hotel we stayed at so I was determined to make the most of it.

I stepped out of my room and had a brief mental battle on whether I should turn left or right. Noticing that I was room number 416, I moved two doors up the corridor until I was at number 420. I took a picture and posted it to snapchat with the caption 'blaze it'. After I was done on that floor, I found the elevator and called it to take me downstairs.

The elevator ended up taking too long for my liking so my simple solution was to take the stairs. I opened the door that had a zig-zag pattern on the front and stepped inside to find a beautiful staircase. The tall room was decorated with a gold and maroon theme, the same colours as my bedroom.

I should take the stairs more often.

I didn't expect for there to be any interesting sights on any of the other levels so a carried on walking until I reached the bottom. Another door was propped open, allowing access to the lobby.

I stepped over to the concierge, my casual outfit choice masking me feel out of place in such a fancy hotel.

I patiently waited until one of the employees were free.

"Hello, how may I help you?" The young lady asked politely.

"Um, I was just wondering if there were any interesting places in this hotel that could take up a few hours that I don't really want to spend waiting."

"Of course, miss," She took out a brochure from her desk and handed it to me, circling some places on the map. "Our indoor pool opened around half an hour ago so I don't think there would be many people at this time of day."

That would be nice, some relaxing time to just be by myself. No drama, just relaxation.

The lady directed me to the pool and spa, the lefts and rights just becoming a blurred mess.

"Thank you," I followed most of the guidance she gave me and looked at some signs to help me.

There was a short hallway before the actual pool. The walls around me were made of a classy glass.

When I turned the corner, I expected some people to be in there. I looked around and concluded that there was only the young couple in the corner of the pool. The two of them were just making out with no shame. I found that a little inappropriate when anybody could just walk in.

The couple at the side of the water were making me a little in comfortable as I walked over to the edge of the pool. I felt even worse when I saw that it was my boyfriend who was kissing that other girl.
