"Five, four, three..." My cameraman counted down the numbers on his fingers as I made final adjustments to my headphones. As soon as she reached zero, my head turned to look at the newly-lit 'On Air' sign hanging to the right of my desk. Although this has become regular for me, I still get excited for the following hours after saying my opening line.

"Hello everyone! My name is Brooke Evans and you are listening to CloudFM."

The show normally starts with music followed by some questions or a competition but today we were told that there would be a special guest here for an interview.

"So this doesn't happen very often but today we have a lovely lady from Australia, her name is Mali-Koa Hood," I spoke into the microphone while skimming my eyes over the brief script I was handed, "You may have heard about her musical brother, Calum Hood, apparently from a punk rock band."

I've played their music.

Punk rock my ass.

Mali and I carried on the interview for about half an hour, broken up by songs being played every ten minutes. We discussed some of her new music, took embarrassing selfies and answered fan questions.

"Savannah asks, 'what is your favourite colour?'" (A/N: I couldn't find any interviews with Mali so I'm just guessing these)

"I actually really like the colours purple and sort of a mint green. If you find the right shade of purple then then they go well together. As you can see from what I'm wearing today." She laughed.

"Guys, if you want to see Mali Koa's not-so-top-secret outfit then you can go to my YouTube channel: BrookeCentral. The video of this interview should be up in a few hours so you can watch it there! Ok, last question from Holly. Who are your biggest inspirations?"

Mali thought for a moment and gently smiled. "Even though he's younger than me, I still look up to my little brother, Calum. When him and the rest of his band started getting bigger, I also realised that music was what I wanted to dedicate my life to." I told her how lovely that was and continued.

"Since you mentioned them, I just would like to touch up on the subject of your brother's band because they will be here with me on Saturday. Is that ok?" Mali gave me a quick nod, before widening her eyes jokingly.

"Good luck! I hope you don't get too annoyed..."

"Eh, I'm sure I can handle them."

"Um... I don't know if you can, they can get pretty rowdy."

"Hey! Don't worry about it, Mali. I'll just order in a few chains and whips."

"Anyway, I'm going to get fired if we get too off topic, so back to the subject of Calum, do you ever feel like your intimidated by him now that he's all big and... Well you know, famous?" I asked.

"I don't think so. I mean since I'm older than him, I will always be more important than him!" Mali jokes with a stereotypical hair flip.

My manager was signalling to end the interview so that's what I did. "Mali, it's been a pleasure having you here at CloudFM. But you need to go and wow some other radio stations with your talent so I'm going to have to let you go."

Mali moved closer to her microphone and said, "Oh no, I can't believe this went so quickly!". We said the rest of our goodbyes and promises to follow each other on twitter before we stopped recording and started packing up our things.

I looked up to see my manager, Ingrid, speed walk up to me.

"Brooke! Brooke! The schedule has been changed. 5 Seconds of Summer are coming here tomorrow instead of Saturday, they arrived here two days early."

Well shit. Now I'm kinda scared.
