3. Cams and Camerons.

After the interview of death with 5 Seconds of Pickup Lines, I caught the train home to my apartment.

I shared my flat with my best friend, Lizzy. Our other friend, Hannah, lived in the apartment next to us with her boyfriend, Joshua.

I got out my keys and opened the door, not really expecting a random guy sitting on our sofa with my roommate.

"Who are you?" I asked. To be fair, I could've been politer but I was still slightly pissed from the interview. It was obvious that Lizzy wasn't impressed with my attitude from the stare she gave me. It wasn't quite a glare; I think she's too nice for that. It was just that kind of 'are you serious?' look.

They both stood up and walked around the coffee table to greet me at the front door.

"This is Cameron. He interns at Capitol Records with me." Lizzy answered for him. She then mouthed:

I like him, Don't screw this up.

"Nice to meet you Cameron. My name's Brooke. Liz might have mentioned that already." I held out my hand for him to shake but he seemed nervous, as if I scared him. He shook my hand eventually though.

Cameron seemed pretty harmless. He was about 5'11 with quiffed brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a black and white baseball shirt with a pair of black skinny jeans.

A few moments passed before I decided to break the uncomfortable silence.

"Well... Lizzy, Cameron-"

"You can call me Cam." He said with a slight chuckle. I smiled back at him.

"Ok, Lizzy and Cam," I looked at Cameron. "This has been fun but today's video needs editing, so I will be in my room." I waved goodbye before I walked down the corridor and sat at my desk with my laptop.

I was smiling while reading the positive comments on my latest video when my phone started ringing. I checked the caller ID.

Hagrid (Ingrid) :)

"Hello?"

"Hi, Brooke. It's Ingrid." She sounded somewhat excited. "How are you?"

"I do have caller ID," I teased. "And, I'm doing well thank you."

"That's nice. Anyway, I have news for you. 5 Seconds of Summer mentioned the interview to their management who called me up and they wanted to arrange a meeting with you." She told me. "Tuesday morning works for you, right?"

What? Did they think it was bad? No, no, they were laughing. Maybe they were amused by how badly the interview went. No. The interview went great... Probably. I hope.

btw i havent edited this properly so sorry for any mistakes

you also now have permission to kill me bc this chapter was short as balls but i didnt have a lot of time but i also just need to add this bit of information in now so i can proceed with the story

This chapter is dedicated to the real-life Lizzy who is literally amazing and I probably wouldn't have written this book if it weren't for her. So ily lizzy <3

Also, school starts again this week so the update will probably be later in the week bc we get a crap ton of homework and I procrastinate...
