Minas POV
Living Room
I knelt down on the floor, surrounded by colourful clothes and toys, as I tried to wrangle my four-year-old daughter, Aria, into her favourite pink jacket.
"Come on, sweetheart, it's a beautiful day for a walk!", I encouraged, struggling to pull the jacket over her small arms.
Eunho, my one-year-old son, was busy making a game out of tossing his little socks across the room, giggling each time one landed far away from where it should be. Just then, the door creaked open, and I saw Hyunjae, sauntered in.
"Need a hand?", he offered, eyeing Eunho's sock-throwing antics with mild amusement.
"Would you? That would be great", I replied, grateful for the help. Hyunjae walked over and knelt down beside Eunho, picking up the socks and putting them back into the small basket where they belonged.
"Hey, buddy, let's get you dressed for our walk, okay?", Hyunjae said to Eunho, who was delighted to have his older brother's attention.
I smiled at the sight it warmed my heart to see the bond between them. Hyunjae had always been a great big brother, stepping in whenever I needed him.
"Aria, sweetie, can you help me find your other shoe?", I called out, glancing over my shoulder to see if she had wandered off again.
Just as I suspected, she was distracted, playing with her toys.
"Mommy, look!", she squealed, holding up a stuffed unicorn. I chuckled softly.
"That's cute, honey, but we need to get ready to go outside!".
I turned my attention back to Aria, finally managing to get her other shoe on.
"Alright, kiddo! You're all set", I said, brushing her hair away from her face.
She beamed up at me, and for a moment, everything felt perfect. Just then taehyung walked in, looking sharp in his tailored suit. The sight of him dressed up in a suit and seemingly ready to leave, sent a wave of confusion through me.
"Taehyung, you said we were going out together as a family", I said, crossing my arms.
He frowned slightly, running a hand through his hair.
"I can't. I have an important business meeting. I won't be here for a while and I dont know who long this trip will take".
He didn't seem to notice my disappointment as he leaned down to hug Hyunjae tightly.
"Love you, buddy. Take care of everyone while I'm gone".
He didn't turn to look at me or the younger kids, and the silence that followed felt heavy, like a weight pressing down on my chest. As the door closed behind him, I felt the anger and hurt boiling up inside me. I turned to find Aria, her little face crumpled in distress.
"Daddy doesn't love me!", she cried, her voice rising in pitch, tears streaming down her cheeks.
My heart shattered at her words. I kneel down to her level and wrap my arms around her.
"Oh, no", I said softly, brushing her hair back from her forehead.
"Daddy loves you very much. He's just a busy man".
