Tzuyus POV
Living Room
"Good morning. We've come to follow up with a few more questions regarding Sana. May we come in? During our investigation, we identified a particular piece of evidence from the results of the... kit".
"Do either of you know a Park Jihyo?"
I felt a pang of surprise at the name.
"Yes we do", I said.
"Park Jihyo's DNA was found in the results. We'd like to speak to Sana to clarify what happened".
"Mina---".
"Sana come here the officers want to talk to you", I said.
"Sana, do you recall if Park Jihyo was here with you that night or morning. Her DNA was found from the test we did on you".
"Jihyo was there, but it wasn't... it wasn't that. It wasn't what you're implying".
"Sana, you don't have to lie. If something happened... if Jihyo hurt you, the police are here to help", Mina said.
"Lie? Why would I lie? Jihyo dropped by, yes. We talked, we... we had a moment. It was consensual".
"Sana, you're lying to us. We've dealt with cases like this. If Park Jihyo assaulted you, if she took advantage of you, we need to know. Did she assault you?", the officer asked.
"No. It wasn't her".
One of the officers sighed, straightening up.
"We cant ignore the rape kit results".
Minas POV
Living Room
"Jihyo didn't hurt me, Mina. She just... she wouldn't do that".
"Then tell us, Sana, why would she be there? Why would her DNA be the only trace left if this was... consensual?".
"Jihyo came over because we needed to talk. About... about our kids. And then we just... it happened", she said.
"And then she just left, is that it? Or maybe, Sana, she returned later. You were under the influence drugs and alcohol. It's entirely possible you argued, and things got violent. You were so far gone you don't even remember who might've done it".
"No! Jihyo would never hurt me never like that! She left, and that was it. I don't care what that rape test showed it was consensual sex", She said.
The officer's expression grew sterner, his tone nearly clipped.
"Sana the r-kit results don't lie. She's implicated. If she did this, we'll get a confession out of her, and you will testify. Victims do this often to protect the person they love".
The officers left after that, their determined footsteps echoing down the hall, leaving a heavy silence in their wake. As the front door clicked shut, Sana took a shuddering breath, her shoulders sinking as though a weight had pressed down on her.
"Sana, if you're sure Jihyo didn't do this, then we'll support you. But you need to be honest with yourself. You're dealing with a lot right now, and maybe you just can't see it clearly".
Sana's face crumbled for a moment before she nodded, trying to compose herself.
"I know how this looks, and I know what they think, but... Jihyo's not that person", Sana said.
"You think jihyo really is innocent?".
"I know she is. It wasn't her".
