Sanas POV

Talk show

 I sat there, forcing a smile, my hand held tightly by Tzuyu's. She was beside me, a comforting presence, but all my attention was on the two people Mina and Hyunjae. I didn't expect to see them on this show. I thought Mina would rather be hidden from the media. But here she is leaned slightly towards Hyunjae, her hand resting on his shoulder in that gentle, nurturing way that made her look so effortlessly perfect. The sight made my chest ache. I bit the inside of my cheek, trying to keep my jealousy from showing. And worst I noticed Tzuyu glancing over at Mina. Her gaze would shift from me to Mina, lingering just a bit too long, her lips twitching like she was holding back thoughts I didn't want to hear. It was maddening. I swallowed hard, feeling that ugly knot in my chest tighten. I don't know if its because she's in awe that minas being a mother. This is their first time meeting i believe so it could be shocked.

"We found some photos of you and your stepmother, Hyunjae. What was this event?", the host asked, a bright smile on her face.

I glanced at the screen.

My stomach twisted.

"It was a dance competition when I was 15", Hyunjae said with a smile that practically beamed.

"I won it".

I clenched my dress under the table, my nails digging into the fabric.

"Do you still dance?".

"I do a lot of hobbies now. Mother told me to try out new things to see what I'd like, so it would help my future as an adult", he said.

Mother. That word rang in my ears. It still hard to believe she is one.

"Some of them. But it's usually a joint effort with my best friend. And sometimes Taehyung pays for them all".

Her male bestfrined. That guyu I saw.

"Your best friend is this is the guy right?".
