Tzuyus POV
Fansigning
I sat at the fan signing table, trying to keep a smile plastered on my face. Rosé was beside me, laughing with some fans as they handed her posters and photo cards to sign. We were here for our K-drama My Wife is My Stalker, a wildly successful show, and the fans were absolutely loving it. It felt surreal, the constant attention, the sea of faces all eager to get a piece of us. I mean we still need to film the episodes not all of them are completed but they are enjoying the one put out so far. I picked up the marker, nodding at a fan in front of me who was bouncing on their feet with excitement. I signed their poster, exchanged a few pleasantries, and sent them on their way. It was routine by now. A blur of faces, a flood of names, all blending together after a while. But then, the next fan stepped forward. A boy, no older than eighteen, with a familiar grin. His hair was messy, sticking out in a way that reminded me of someone I once knew. He placed a photo in front of me, and my breath hitched. It wasn't just any photo. It was a picture of me, with Mina, on the beach.
A moment that seemed like a lifetime ago.
"Could you sign this? It's for my stepmother".
I stared at the photo, memories flooding back. My heart skipped a beat. I hadn't thought about that day in a long time, and now here it was, right in front of me.
"For your stepmother?", I repeated, looking up at him, trying to mask my surprise.
He nodded.
"Yeah. But she doesn't know I'm here. I thought it would be a nice surprise for her".
Something about him tugged at the back of my mind. That grin, that playful gleam in his eyes. And then it hit me. I remembered him. He wasn't just any fan. He was Hyunjae the eight-year-old boy that me and mina played with on the beach that summer.
"Hyunjae?", I said softly, disbelief lacing my words.
His eyes lit up in recognition.
"You remember me?".
"Of course I do", I replied, a small smile tugging at my lips.
"The boy who got lost and we played in the sand together and built sandcastles".
"You and Mina were very kind strangers at the time".
"So... Mina's your stepmother now?", I said smiling.
