The first night of the Regal Circus being in any town was always stressful. The Ringmaster rushed everyone to set up everything all over again, and all the performers trained extra hard.

Soleil was practicing the dance that she always did on opening night with some of the other, more experienced dancers. One of them was someone she couldn't stand though.

"Soleil, that first part is the easiest part of the dance. How are you messing it up?" Kelly. She had worked for the Circus for a long time and while the other performers were cordial with Soleil, Kelly would nitpick at her mistakes, and give underhand compliments, she went out of her way to add even a little bit of negativity to Soleil's day. Kelly was a she-devil in a Tommy Hilfiger shirt with black bangs. She would be a problem when it came to Soleil's plan of doing what she wanted that month. She always would hang around the outside of the Circus, with her other dancer friends. The young performer would have to make sure she didn't get caught by her.

"What are you even talking about Kelly? This is how Ms. McKnight taught us."

She gave a smug smile. "Oh, maybe it's just that your form is bad."

"Hey, don't hate me because you aren't what people come to see." Some of the other dancers snickered. Kelly's face twisted like she was going to pop all the blood vessels in her body though, she straightened up when they heard purposely loud footsteps. The Ringmaster.

All the dancers including Soleil stood still as they waited for the man to speak. His playful smile that enchanted audiences wasn't present, his face was as grim as a graveyard. It made most of the Circus workers scared to say anything. Soleil however, glared at him.

Sometimes she bit her tongue for her father's sake, sometimes she did what he asked. Soleil never had spite for her father though, she rebelled at times because it was the only message he could understand. Give Soleil her freedom. Yet, he just ignored it like he always did.

"I assume you are almost ready, the opening show is in an hour. You'll have to train hard for the whole month, we will be here for a while."

"Yes sir." Kelly slightly rolled her eyes.

"I saw that Kelly, remember, I'm the one who pays you. And someone, get the costume designer. You know how long it takes to get that train on Soleil, she needs to be ready."

The dreaded train.

Soleil was a girl who loved dresses and fancy outfits, growing up in a Circus, what could you expect? But the train that was attached to the bodysuit she had to wear was heavy, there had to be hundreds of fake jewels on that thing—dragging it around wasn't fun at all.

"Right away, I'll get him." Another dancer named Darcy ran to the back.

"Good. Everyone, get dressed we have very little time left to prepare." The Ringmaster turned on his heel to exit the main ring and everyone went about their business.
