The night had cleared and the day had arrived but escaping from the jocks wasn't the last of Eddie and Soleil's troubles. The two teens were tired...and stressed, they sat under Skull Rock where they hid from the commotion caused by Patrick's attempted murder as the media viewed it.

Eddie radioed Dustin. "Dustin, can you hear me? Wheeler?"

The two heard his voice. "Eddie. Holy shit. Are you two okay?"

Eddie rubbed his face, "Nah, man. Pretty...Pretty goddamn far from okay."

"Where are you?"

"Skull Rock. Do you know it?"

"Uh, yeah. That's near Cornwallis-" He was interrupted by another unknown voice that Sol had heard once before. "Hold tight. We're coming. We're coming."

When they finished speaking, Eddie handed the walkie-talkie back over to Sol and buried his face in his hands. She put a hand on his back and rubbed it.

"Great, another crime they can accuse me of."

"Eddie don't worry, we're gonna fix this. It's gonna work out after I finish this story-"

"And then what?" Sol didn't expect him to lash out like that. "What if that doesn't work? I can't stay on the run forever."

She gave him a blank look, staring down her nose till he took a deep breath in, recognizing that he had acted harshly. "Sorry..."

"It's fine Eddie, you're under a lot of stress but you have people who want to help you. That's a lot more than others can say."

"I really don't get how you can still look for the good in this."

"Well, if you have nothing to hope for things go sour pretty quickly."

He finally took his hands away from his face. Eddie bit his bottom lip, a habit while pondering about the next question he was going to ask Soleil and if it was a good idea in the first place to ask. Here goes nothing.

"So uh, everything with you alright?"

She knew exactly what he meant.

"Eddie, just because I mentioned my problem at the cabin doesn't mean you can throw a little pity party for me."

"What? No. That's not what I was trying to say at all. Knowing you're doing alright, at least somewhat helps put my mind at ease."

She gave him a small smile. "I'm messing with you, as of right now, I'm all good Eddie. I promise."

"That's a relief."

"What would be even more of a relief would be if Dustin and the gang showed up right now so I could finally finish writing your cover story."
