Slytherin vs Griffindor

As soon as Aayat and Aayan sat on their respective house tables for the dinner in the great hall,the murmurs started, students from their years remembered the two as they had come last year for the Tri-Wizard tournament but as students of other school and now they were sitting here in Hogwarts robes.

The Slytherin's boy's were happy that Aayat had got sorted in their house,last year during the Yule Ball she had not danced with anybody and kept wandering around the hall with her brother who was now in Griffindor.The Slytherin girls were not happy with her presence though, because as soon as she sat on the table,all the boys were staring at her forgetting them.

Aayat didn't said anything to anyone,she just sat quietly watching the sorting ceremony as it was different from what they had in Ilvermony,she did noticed the boys staring at her but ignored them.

"I am Malfoy,Draco Malfoy"A pale,blonde haired boy said giving his hand for a handshake.

"Aayat Sehgal"Aayat said,she didn't wanted to be rude and deny his offer, moreover it was just a normal interaction.

"So why did you changed school?"Draco asked her as he sat infront of her.

"My parents thought it was better for me to study in Hogwarts now"Aayat said truthfully but didn't mentioned her parents name.

"Oh, Hogwarts is nice you will like it here"Draco said with a sincere smile and Aayat smiled back at him,he wasn't that bad afterall and was being nice to her.

"Aayat is in Slytherin!!"Hermione exclaimed.

"Why? what's the problem in that?"Aayan asked.

"They aren't nice, they turn evil eventually"Ron said.

"My father is a Slytherin so is my sister and I don't find it being a problem at all"Aayan said with finality.

"See she is talking to Draco,he's father is a death Eater"Harry said pointing towards Aayat who shook hands with Draco.

"So what?Is he also a Death Eater?you guys are just too stereotypical"Aayan said.

"You don't know him as we do,he is an evil brat"Hermione said narrowing her eyes at him.

"I have my own brain and I would like to use it to make judgements about people...thank you so much"Aayan snapped at her.

"You cannot talk to her like that"Ron said a bit angrily.

"And you cannot say anything about my sister"Aayan said and got up from the Griffindor table and went and sat beside his sister on the Slytherin table.

As soon as he did it,many heads snapped in his direction,the Slytherin's stared at him as if he was an alien but all the stares broke down when Aayat glared at them and scowled in the same way her father did and all looked away,she looked pretty scary when she glared at them with her wide reddish-maroon eyes.

"What's up bro?"Aayat asked softly.

"Harry,Ron and Hermione think you are going to turn evil because every Slytherin is one"Aayan said.

"What more can you expect from Potter and his minions,they always blame us Slytherin for everything"Draco said as he heard them.

"Draco, that wasn't for you to hear....and I will handle it myself..thank you for your opinion but I would like to make my own judgements"Aayat said a bit calmly,she didn't snapped at him but she made sure her point reached him and he nodded at her.

"Let's eat our dinner,no need to waste your precious brain for these useless talks,Aayan baby"Aayat said the last part to tease him and he glared at her but she just laughed it off.
