A Day To Remember

CHAPTER 03: NEW FRIEND

"Yah, Lee Jeno! Stop it!"

Jihyun heard a girl's voice coming towards them. The girl stood in front of her while glaring at Jeno as he scoffed. Another guy whom she noticed was a bit short but still taller than her came towards them.

"Jeno-yah... she was just curious. Stop making scene, okay?"he said with an agry but not too loud voice after seeing the attentions they were getting while Jihyun hid behind the unknown girl.

Jeno grunted and threw his chair to the right side before storming out of the room with the picture in his hands. She was left dumbfounded because of his strange attitude but she shrugged it off. She wanted to sit, but a hand held her wrist.

"I'm Kim Yuna. And that guy is Huang Renjun, if you're curious..." Yuna said while pointing to the guy before who was in his seat already. Jihyun smiled and nodded as a response.

"Do you perhaps, have any friends?" Yuna asked. She thought for a while and rubbed her nape awkwardly. "Then let's be friends, hang out with me tomorrow." She said as they both smiled.

Jeno threw his bag on the sofa and plopped his muscular body on the king sized bed. He stayed in that position for a while before turning his body to face the ceiling.

The big potrait on the left wall caught his eyes. The picture was a potrait of his family when he was only two months old. It became his habit to stare at it everyday, hoping that the sunshine of his life would come back.

His mother. His one and only mother. He may look dramatic, but what would you do if you saw the person who gave birth to you getting hit by a car in front of your own eyes?

The memory was still clear in his mind, playing over and over again like an endless panorama. He could even write exactly as what happened if you ask him to.

He sighed while putting his arm on his forehead and fell asleep after a few minutes of total silence.

"Jihyun-ah..."

"Mmm?"she raised her head. "Are you still mad at Jeno for yesterday?" Yuna asked her new friend with a simpathic smile. Jihyun frowned and closed her eyes for a second to think while the other looked at her weirdly.

"What happened yesterday?"

She asked with an innocent face. Yuna's pen fell down from her grip as Renjun raised his head from his phone.

"Did she got hit by a car?"he whispered to his girlfriend but it was enough for Jihyun to hear it as she glared at him.

"Ohhh... yesterday. Nope, i don't mind about it at all."she went back to the book she borrowed from the library yesterday.

Right, a lot of things happened yesterday that she couldn't remember about that creepy guy (Jeno).

Yuna looked at the tray of food which Jihyun hadn't touch. "Are you not eating?" She raised her head and shook it. Yuna smirked and took the food and ate it while doing her homework.

Jihyun's hand flipped to the last page of the book and closed it with a smile on her pink lips. Renjun looked at her with wide eyes. "You finished reading that?!"
She nodded.

Jihyun stood up and said, "I have to return it to the library before the recess is over."she waved at them as they did the same.

She walked to the library as fast as she can so that she will have enough time to go back to class before the bell rings. Without realizing, another figure was walking towards the opposite direction, making her eyes tremble when they met his brown ones.

Jeno froze and stared at her for a few seconds before walking away without any words. She sighed in relief as she continued her walk.

Entering the library, she searched for Jaemin and saw him all ready to go back to class. "Jaemin!"she called out. Jaemin turned to her with his sweet smile he hadn't shown to any girl before.
