A Day To Remember

CHAPTER 07: THIS FEELING

Last week, Sunday.

"You're good at it." Jeno commented again. "Thank you."she smiled and chuckled, making Jeno frown and stared at her side profile below the shining sun with a weird feeling in his heart.

Jeno opened his mouth to say something, but he froze when Jihyun turned to him while raising her eyebrows.

"Did you forgive me?"he asked and she raised her eyebrows. "Huh?" She thought for a while but finally found the answer. "Ohh... of course! Let's not talk about it anymore, buddy."she nudged his arm, taking him off guard. But he suddenly smiled.

"Oh, it's my first time seeing you smiling!"she pointed at his lips which was curving upwards without him realizing. He cleared his throat and fixed his position. Jihyun laughed at his attitude as she continued writing her essay.

"Am i you're buddy?"he asked again. "Aren't you my friend?"she deadpanned. He nodded while his heart was beating rapidly because of this girl in front of him. He held his chest while questioning what had happened to him.

Back to present.

"Have you done your essay?" Jihyun turned to him while chewing a chocolate in her mouth. Jeno nodded with a questioning face. "The recess is over and you're still eating?"he said as quiet as possible so the teacher who was teaching in front won't hear it.

She showed a silly grin and gave him another plastic of chocolate. He gladly took it then opened the plastic and shoved it his mouth. Her eyes were locked to his side profile while he focused at the front.

"You're so handsome."she whispered.

Jeno's eyes widen as he turned to her with redden cheeks. They froze for a moment while staring at each other until the teacher shouted. "Okay, don't forget about your essay i gave you last week!" Jeno and Jihyun stood up with the other students to hand in their books.

"I'm home!" Jihyun exclaimed while entering the dark house. She noticed the lights from living room shining, so she walked there. There, she saw Jaehyun laying on the couch while watching the television. She sighed, making Jaehyun turn to her and showed a peace sign.

"Wassup, sis." Then he turned back to the television. She shook her head at his attitude and sat beside him. "Not sleepy yet, huh?" She stole his popcorn silently. He grinned. They watched the television without saying anything until a romantic scene came on.

"I love you, Hana. I liked being your friend, but i wanted more." The male lead confessed and the female lead had tears in her eyes.

Jaehyun cringed at the scene while Jihyun leaned forward to hear it more clearly.

"I'm sorry, i was mean to you at first... but i fell in love. I really did. So will you be my-"

Jaehyun swithed off the television and stood up. "Hey, why did you turn it off?!"she scolded while he ignored her and went upstairs to his room. She quickly shifted to the side and grabbed the remote.

"I live for you, Hana."

She smiled after switching it back on. Taking the popcorns in her arms, she focused back at the scene with sad eyes.

"Thank you for forgiving me when i was mean to you, and thank you for accepting me for who i am, Hana!"

She gasped while smiling.

"So marry me, and let's have se-"

Jaehyun snatched the remote and switched the television back off. "Yaahh!!"she whined. He sighed and signalled her to go upstairs. "Don't watch this kind of story, it's for adults."

He went upstairs again, leaving her dumbfounded while she pouted in annoyance. "But i want to know what happened next..." she hung her head low and tailed her brother.
