A Day To Remember

CHAPTER 09: NA JAEMIN

Yuna looked up from her novel and saw her boyfriend who was busy with his phone. She frowned and glared at him, but he didn't notice it at all. She pouted and opened her mouth to call his name but stopped when he stood up first.

"Yuna, i need to go to the toilet." Renjun said and left her alone in her bedroom. She followed his figure which dissapeared behind the door. Suddenly, Renjun's phone who was on her hed buzzed. She cleared her throat and leaned forward to check it.

I miss you too, renjunnieee

She widen her eyes and fast as the speed of light, she took his phone and opened the messaging app. Thank god, Renjun didn't have an idea to lock his phone, so she could easily break into it. She clicked on the same name and checked his messages with the unknown 'noona'.

Renjun, i'm coming back to
Seoul! Do you miss me?!

Noona! It's been a long time!
Where can we meet each other?

At your house, ofc.

Ok, but my girlfriend is here.

Oh, you have a girlfriend...

Yes, why?

Nothing

And also,
I miss you too, renjunnieee

She scoffed and put the phone back at the same place when she heard footsteps coming towards her room.
Renjun pushed the door open and smiled at her.

"Anything wrong?"he asked when he saw her glaring at him. She showed a meaningful smile before it faded in a blink of an eye.

"ANYTHING WRONG??!!"she shouted.

Jihyun hesitantly caressed Yuna's back while she was bawling her eyes out. Chenle, Jisung and Jaemin watched her in disgust but Jeno and Renjun were nowhere to be found. Yuna cried more as loud sobs were coming out of her mouth.

"Yah, yah... it's okay..." Jihyun comforted the crying girl while she slowly raised her head and turned to her. Jihyun showed a disgusted face but quickly changed it to a sad face. "Right, it's okay. It's gonna be okay-"

"HOW IS THIS OKAY??!!!"she shouted, gaining everyone's attention in the canteen while Chenle rubbed his ears.
"You're more louder!" Jisung scoffed. Chenle showed a silly grin and looked back at the crying drama in front of him. Jihyun was shushing Yuna with her index finger on her lips.

Soon, the atmosphere calmed down as Yuna became silent and leaned her head on Jihyun's shoulder. "This world is so cruel..."she whined. Jihyun caressed her hairs while smiling.

"That's life, you need to live in it."

"Teacher?"she looked around the counter to search for the teacher she often saw in the library. Mrs. Hwang smiled when she saw the familiar girl as she went up to her. Jihyun placed the novel on the counter.

"You almost finished reading the whole library." Mrs. Hwang commented while Jihyun chuckled. "But Mrs. Hwang..." She raised her head and looked at Jihyun with raised eyebrows.

"About the librarian offer..."

Jaemin handed her the special nametag. She gladly took it and carefully placed it on her blazer. She compared herself with the guy in front of her while smiling. "Now i'm like you."she commented as Jaemin laughed.

"But why do we need to meet on the roof?"she asked while staring at the blue sky above them. "Just because... i need to tell you... something." Jaemin stuttered but she thankfully understand what he was saying.

"I have this girl that i like... but i don't know how to confess to her."he explained as he rubbed his nape and avoided eye contact with her. "Ohh... than practice with me! I will tell you if a girl would like it or not." Jaemin smiled and nodded before he began his speech.

"I like you. Since the first day i saw you. You keep making my heart beat so loudly, and i realized you are the only one in my heart." He raised his head amd met with her innocent hazel eyes. "So... will you be my girlfriend?"

He heard Jihyun clapping while cheering for him. "That was good! Now go and confess to her. What are you waiting for?"she said in an encouraging tone and Jaemin smiled bitterly.

"I did."

"Really?! What did she say?"

"Nope, forget it."he sighed and tapped her shoulders before walking past her and entered the school through the door. "You dumb girl. I guess she rejected me..."he chuckled before walking away with a heavy heart.
