CHAPTER 11: I LIKE YOU

"Yah, Kim Yuna!"

The bell ringed as all the students of Daewon Highschool was running out of their classes. Renjun ran through the crowd to find his girlfriend who's been ignoring her all day. When he finally found her, he tapped on her shoulder resulting her to look backwards.

"Ah, i'm sorry!"he apologized and ran to the opposite after he realized it was not the one he's looking for. He rushed to the women's bathroom and stood near it. That is the only place he could think of where there might be Yuna.

And he was right.

Yuna came out of the bathroom while smiling and chatting with her friends when they all bid their goodbyes and she was left all alone. She noticed a familiar face at the corner and sighed when she saw him.

She strided to the opposite way but Renjun was fast to stop her. They stared at each other before Renjun said in a stern voice. "We need to talk." And Yuna knew if he was talking like that, he was being very serious about it. And she had no choice but to talk to him.

"What happened? Can't you just tell me?" Yuna gulped and looked down before asking a question. "W-who is Heejin?" Renjun was taken aback, but he still answered it. "Just a friend. Why?"he said innocently with his famous confused face.

And Yuna also knew if he looked at her like that, he is really innocent. It was her fault. If she talked with him more earlier, things would have been better. She grinned and hugged him tightly.

"What are you-"

"Let's stay like this for a while..."

Renjun smiled and hugged her back.

"Woowww!!!"

Jihyun shouted and high fived Jeno while he did the same. They were so focused on the game they're playing that they didn't realize it was almost night. Jeno pressed the button rapidly and moved the controller, and they cheered again when the brown teddy bear went inside the hole.

"Told you i'm good at this!"he gave her the teddy bear as she hugged it and grinned at him. "You do. I'm officially your fan from now on!" They both laughed and walked together until they reached the convenience store.

"I want jjajjangmyeon, how 'bout you?"she asked and Jeno told her to buy ramyeon for him. She memorized it and ran into the store.Jeno chuckled at her cute behaviour and stared at the road in front if the store.

It was filled with children's laughter, and beautiful lamposts and flowers around it. He didn't feel happy. At all. He always wanted to be like those kids, even if they aren't rich as him. His mother died, and his father turned to a cold man who only cares about his works and ignored his own son.

He always wished to Santa on christmast, "i want to be happy". But was he really happy all this time? Over the years, he just watched other kids throwing snowballs at each other through the small window from his room. And people said he's cold and scary but they didn't know that he didn't had any chance to even play with all the kids when he was young.

Accept that one time.

Where he begged his mother to play at the playground near his house. And he found this girl who he didn't know her name, but she was his first friend. The first person besides his family who made him smile. He regretted not asking her name. If he really did, they could be friends just like everyone else.

But the burden he carried in his heart all dissapeared when he heard her lively voice.

"Lee Jeno! Your ramyeon!"she shouted as loud as she could. She was standing outside the store, a bit far away from him as he was standing beside the road. The soft wind blowed her hair and he could see nothing but the face of the girl he likes.
