A Day To Remember

CHAPTER 02: LEE JENO

"Here is your timetable." The lady gave her a piece of paper while she took it her hands and bowed to her. "Thank you." The lady smiled.

"You're in class 4A. It's downstairs, second from the right." She nodded and thanked her again before exiting the office. She checked her timetable while looking around for her class.

Her eyes landed on a sign above her. She looked at it carefully, and sighed in relief when she confirmed that it's her class.

She took a deep breath and knocked on the door, gaining attention from all the students in the class. Her hands trembled looking at the judging eyes staring at her.

"Oh, Jihyun! You can come in!" The teacher signalled her to come in and she did after a few seconds of silence. The teacher told the class to quiet down.

"You can introduce yourself, Jihyun."

She nodded and hid her trembling fingers behind her back. She noticed someone waving at her and she immediately recognized the face. She smiled to Jaemin and started her introduction.

"Hello... my name is Jung Jihyun. I hope that we can be friends." The students clapped when she finished, making her a little calmer than before.

"You can sit beside Jeno." The teacher pointed to a certain person. Jihyun nodded and looked for the guy only to find cold eyes staring at her up and down. She gulped and walked to the empty sit.

Jaemin who was sitting in front of them turned to her. "Hi. We're in the same class, huh?" She chuckled and focused on the lesson as the teacher began teaching.

The guy beside Jihyun a.k.a Jeno listened to their conversation while taking notes. He scoffed mentally and looked at the girl with his side eye for one last time.

Jeno was bouncing the orange ball and ran forward, dodging the guys who was coming towards him. He jumped and threw the ball inside the net automaticly making his team won the competition.

The audience clapped and cheered, well mostly girls who are screaming and calling out his name hoping he would look at them but he ignored them like he always did.

But little did he know, a girl was peeking from the stadium door and gasped watching his skills. Jihyun clapped silently and continued her journey to find her favourite place, the library.

After a few minutes, she finally found it. She entered it and smiled seeing all the thick books on the shelves. Reading novels? Her all time favourite hobby.

She walked towards the shelves and picked a book. She tilted her head while checking the title. 'Little Women'. Hmm, interesting. She put the book in her arms and wanted to walk to the table, but a familiar figure stopped her.

"Jaemin?"she asked.

The guy turned to her and smiled. "Yah, Jihyun... You like reading books?" She nodded as Jaemin thought of an idea.

Jihyun went back to her class after the bell ringed. She saw a few of her classmates were already in. She walked to her table and found Jeno's seat is empty, so she felt relieved.

She noticed something on the table. It was a picture of an unfamiliar woman holding a baby. She took it without minding the consequences and stared at it for a while.

"Why are you touching my stuff?"

She heard his deep, raspy voice behind her. She put the picture back on its original place and turned to face him. Her hands trembled again seeing his scary, cold eyes burning holes through her face.

"I-i'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"

"Who do you think you are?!"he raised his voice louder than normal making the girl flinch at watched him in horror.
