"Please don't fall." Luke said nervously, watching from the ground.
"I won't." I said.
I carefully climbed out the window of my bedroom, getting onto the trunk of the tree. My mom was home meaning I had to sneak out to see Luke.
We had seen each other earlier at school but we hardly have any classes together. The only time we really see each other at school is during lunch.
I climbed down carefully before landing safely on the ground. Luke let out a sigh of relief before taking my hand.
He kissed me before he led me to his car.
I had a rush of adrenaline running through my veins. My mom would kill both of us if she knew what was going on.
Luke and I both got in his car before he started to drive. His hand rested on my thigh which gave me butterflies. Everything about him gives me butterflies.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
Luke smiled softly before answering. "I want to show you somewhere special."
We drove a little longer before we ended up in what looked to be an ordinary field. Luke stopped the car and looked at me before getting out. I followed him and watched as he opened his trunk to grab something.
Luke pulled out a couple of blankets before turning to me. He motioned me to follow him.
We walked to the middle of the field before Luke laid the blankets out. He sat down and motioned for me to sit next to him.
I sat down next to Luke and looked around. The field looked like any other field. Nothing about it seemed super special. Luke laid back and I did as well. He took my hand and kissed the back of it.
"Look at the stars." Luke said.
I looked up, becoming mesmerized by them.
"They're beautiful." I said.
Luke nodded. "I first found this place with Ashton when he and I were younger. I've always been fascinated by stars. They make me feel at peace."
I nodded and looked over at him. He looked back at me.
"You also fascinate me." Luke said.
I blushed softly and smiled. Luke let his hand rest on my cheek before he kissed my forehead. We laid on the blankets for what felt like only a couple of minutes but turned out to be hours.
A few hours later, we picked up the blankets and headed back to the car. Luke didn't start the car right away. Instead, we sat there in silence. Enjoying each others company.
"I know we've only known each other for a little bit but I think I wanna make us official." Luke said, turning to look at me.
I smiled softly. "I like the sound of that."
Luke smiled too. Leaning over the console to kiss me. I smiled into the kiss, running my fingers through his hair.
We pulled apart, letting our foreheads rest against each others. Both of us smiling.

The next morning, I couldn't stop yawning. I didn't get home till midnight and my alarm went off at 5am.I decided to skip my morning treatment because I simply didn't want to get up. When my mom asked if I had finished my treatment, I lied and said I had. I didn't want her to know that I actually didn't.
After getting dressed and eating breakfast, mom drove me to school.
"You seem awful tired this morning." She said.
I shrugged. Yawning again.
"You should take a nap later." Mom said.
I nodded, staying quiet.
The school morning dragged by. Every class seemed like a blur. When it was finally lunch, I made my way outside to the courtyard.
I sat down in my usual spot next to Luke. He smiled as I rested my head on his shoulder.
"Hi beautiful." He said, giving my head a kiss.
I smiled. "Hi."
"Oo, the love birds." Charlie said, coming to plop herself across from us.
We both laughed. I laughed a little too much, which caused me to start coughing. Luke looked at me worried.
"Marie, you okay?"
I nodded, trying to suppress the coughing.
Luke rested a hand on my back after I finally was able to stop coughing.
"I'm good now, I think." I said.
Luke nodded, but continued to keep an eye on me.
The rest of the day flew by and I was finally able to go home and take a much needed nap.
When I woke up, I felt someone sitting next to me. I opened my eyes and looked at the person before realizing who it was.
"Luke?" I asked confused. My voice came out a bit scratchy.
Luke smiled. "Just wanted to check up on you."
I smiled at him and sat up, hugging him. He hugged me back, resting his head on top of mine.
"How did you get in here?" I asked.
"Your mom let me in. Told her that we had an assignment we needed to work on."
I laughed at his answer.
"I'm actually surprised that she believed you." I said.
"Well, you do have homework so its not completely a lie." Luke said, wiggling his eyebrows.
I rolled my eyes and laughed.
"What makes you think I wanna do homework?"
Luke gave me an evil grin before he started to tickle me.
"Hey! No! Not fair!" I said in between laughs. Coughing a bit.
Luke laughed too, finally stopping. "Come on, I'll help you get some done." He said.
I reluctantly agreed. Knowing I was eventually going to have to do it.
A little while later, mom came to check up on us.
"Get everything done?" She asked.
We both nodded, Luke getting up from my bed.
"I should head home for dinner." Luke said.
I nodded and stood up to walk Luke to the door. Mom followed behind us. When we got to the door we said our goodbyes.
"Nice meeting you Ms Young." Luke said, giving my mom a smile.
She smiled warmly. "No need to call me that. You can call me Heather. And it was nice meeting you too Luke."
Luke gave us both a smile before he walked out.
"You wanna tell me who that sweet boy is?" Mom asked.
