Chapter 6 || Truth

We all went home to change into out swim clothes and we all met up at the front of Benny's house before we walked to the pool. We got to the pool and we all got in.

"C'mon y/n! Get in already!" Benny yelled.

"Hold on!" I yelled. Then Benny turned around and I jumped in and I could tell it scared him a little bit because he wasn't paying attention to me when I jumped.

"Oh no...." Squints says to us.

"What is it....oh not here," Benny sighed.

"What?! Who are they? What are you guys talking about?!" I asked.

"Phillips and his so called 'crew'," yeah-yeah told me.

"Oh," Wait he looked familiar...... OH YEAH when I was driving by the sandlot when I first moved in, they were all talking to each other, well insulting each other I should say.

"I think we should go before they see us," benny said.

"No then they are definitely gonna see us!" Yeah-yeah yelled at Benny.

"Your right, oh no," benny said as he sees Phillips walking towards us.

"Oh hey rejects," Phillips said.

Benny swam over to me and he grabbed my hand. "He has a special thing for new girls so just be careful around him, okay?" Benny whispers to me. I just nod in silence.

"Oh and who's that pretty girl over there?" Phillips asks while looking at you.

"Oh me?" I said with a straight face.

"Yeah, you!" He yelled at me.

"Oh shit!" I laughed. "He really thinks I'm even gonna like him," I exclaimed while laughing like a maniac.

"What's her problem," says some girl behind me.

I looked behind me and roll my eyes.
"Anyways Phillips, what do you even want with me?" I asked.

"I want you to be my gir-," Phillips started to say but got cut off by everyone laughing at him. "W-wha-whats so funny?!" Phillips says while trying to seem brave.

"You'll never get her, thats Benny's girl!" Yells Ham.

"What?" Phillips says while looking at Benny and me.

"Yeah she's mine and only mine!" Benny yells to Phillips.

"Oh, Rodriguez, why would she ever go out with you?! This is obviously a trick to get me to leave! I'm not that stupid" says Phillips.

"This isn't a trick! I can prove it!" I said.

"How?" Phillips says.

I kissed Benny and Benny kissed me back, it was a satisfying kiss but yet kinds uncomfortable because everyone was watching.

I pulled away from the kiss.

"THATS DOESNT PROBE SHIT!" yells Phillips.

"Oh yes it does! Would 2 friends kiss each other?" I ask.

"UH uhm no?" Phillips snaps.

"Exactly, now leave you blockheads!" I shouted at them.

They leave in disgust.

"Wow that was awesome y/n!" One of the boys says.

"How did you get them to leave like that?!" Someone else asks.

"I don't know, but let's just go to my house now and celebrate Benny's once in a lifetime situation," I say while grabbing Benny's hand.

"YEAH! WOO LETS GOO!" all the boys shouted.

We got to my house and I felt someone grab me and pull me behind the stairs while everyone went to the kitchen.
Then I felt a pair of lips being put on mine. I pulled away quickly.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" I yelled as the person covered my mouth.

"Its me, yeah-yeah," yeah-yeah says.

"Why would you kiss me, you dweebus!?" I said while whispering.

"Its because I wanted to tell you that I liked you and I've liked you since we met and that I wanted to be more than best friends, but you and Benny got together and I just got jealous and and...," yeah-yeah rambled.

"Yeah-yeah! You could have just told me you were jealous! I wouldn't have freaked out. But now I am because you kissed me!" I said.

"He did what?!" Bennt exclaimed.

"Benny, man, it's not what it looks like," yeah-yeah said.

"No no I get it, you like y/n! It's okay yoi can have her! Now that I know not to bother you guys anymore, I'll leave!" Benny said.

"Benny wait!" I said while grabbing his hand. He let go off my grip.

"LOOK WHAT YOU DID YEAH-YEAH!" I yelled. "This was supposed to be his special day, until you ruined it!" I shouted as I pushed yeah-yeah to the ground and before I could punch him, I felt the boys pulling me off from on top of him. But I still got out of their grip and I punched yeah-yeahs nose and it started bleeding and my knuckles were all bloody. And yeah-yeah didn't fight back because he knew he couldn't fight a girl.

"Get off of me!?" Yeah-yeah yelled. Then he finally snapped. "I DONT SEE WHAT ME AND BENNY SAW IN YOU! YOU PSYCHO GIRL DOG!" He yelled because he knew if he said 'bitch' he was definitely gonna get knocked the fuck out.

I then quickly snapped out of it and realized I was covered in blood. Then I ran to Benny's house.
