Benny's pov: °•○⚾️○•° What The Hell WHAT DID YEAH YEAH TELL HER?! "Oh um yeah I know who does," I tell her while not even thinking.
"Oh can you tell me who?" She asks me.
OH NO WHY DID I SAY THAT 😭
"OH UM sorry I can't I'm not allowed to," I explained.
"Oh okay," she said. Oh no she looks sad! Did I say something or do something???
Y/ns pov: °•○♡○•° Oh so it's not him.... "Hey you guys I gotta go" suddenly I felt a tear drip down my cheek. OH. NO. I'm crying why why why
"Why do you have to go?" Benny asks.
"Oh just something I remembered."
"Y/n wait what's wrong?!" Yeah yeah asked me.
Yeah-yeahs pov: °•○♧○•° Y/n runs out of the tree house. "Benny what did you say to her!?" I yelled at Benny basically telling him it's his fault.
"What?! I didn't do anything!! I just told her that I can't tell her who likes her-" he then stopped talking and realizes.
"Yeah yeah you did! You dimwitted blockhead! You made it seem like you don't like her!"
I ran after her. "Y/n!!"
I saw her sitting under the tree house steps.
"What do you want Yeah-yeah!?" She shouted at me.
"Y/n I get it! You just found out your crush doesn't like you back!" I said to her.
"No you don't get it!" She exclaimed with her voice cracking a bit. "Wait how did you know I like Benny?" She asked me while sniffling.
"I could just tell!" I said to her.
Benny suddenly walked out from listening from the top of the stairs case.
Y/ns pov: °•○♡○•° Benny walked down the stairs from listening to our conversation. I got kinda scared of what he was gonna say. "Benny I- I didn't want to tell you because-"
Benny cut me off my saying " I like you too, y/n"
"What!?" I said.
"I didn't tell you because I thought YOU didn't like ME!" He said to me.
"Oh," I said while walking back slowly.
"I um... I gotta go, uhm sorry guys..tell the rest I said goodnight," I said while running away.
I got home and went to my room and cried. I dont know why I cried but I did. I just got this feeling that Benny was lying and was just trying to make me feel better by saying he liked me back.
I just don't know if I should feel happy or sad or....*sighs* idk anymore.
The next day I didn't go to the sandlot today because it's my brother's child gender reveal. I was excited and all dressed up. I usually wear boyish clothing but I thought today was special so I decided to wear a dress.

I wore a red dress because that was my favorite color and we all were gonna wear red and black. I suddenly heard a knock on the door.
"I'll get it!" Said Danny.
"Okay I'll be in my room if you need me!" I told him as I walked up the stairs in heels. I hated every second of it so I went to go change into converse.
Benny's pov: °•○⚾️○•° "Oh hey you must be y/ns brother!" I said to a guy wearing a red shirt and black jeans with red shoes.
"Yup I'm Daniel you can call me Danny and you must be benny right! Y/n talks abt you a lot, but come on in!"
She talks about me? I thought to myself.
"Are you here for the gender reveal" he asked me. I looked at him confused.
"Oh uhm no I'm not I'm just here to talk to y/n,"
"Okay she's upstairs I'm her room," he told me.
"Okay!" I said while walking upstairs.
Y/ns pov: °•○♡○•°
I heard a knock on my room door so I went to go answer it. "What do you wa-" I started saying not noticing who it was. But I got cut off by someone hugging me.
It was Benny, I didn't hesitate to hug him back. It was a long hug and comforting.
"Hey y/n I'm sorry for everything last night, I realized what I said and I just completely went blank," he told me.
"No no don't be sorry, it was my fault and I shouldn't have ran away like that!" I said while apologizing.
"So y/n your brother told me you guys are having a gender reveal for your brothers child!" He said
"Oh yeah," I said. "You can stay for it if you want," I said.
"I would have to change cuz I'm not wearing the color theme apparently," he said to me.
"Actually can you invite yeah-yeah too, and you can come!" I said to him. "Actually invite all the sandlot boys," I exclaimed.
"Yeah sure! Ima go home and change," he said. "Bye y/n," he said while kissing my cheek.
"Bye," I said while being speechless. BENNY THE JET RODRIGUEZ JUST KISSED ME ON THE CHEEK. I screamed to myself in my head.
30 minutes later I hear a knock on the door. It's Benny again. He was wearing a red shirt with his baseball jersey over it that has his last name on it and some black jeans.
"Wow..." I whispered to myself.
"What is it?"
"OH I SAID THAT OUT LOUD?"
"Yeah you did," he said while laughing.
"Just so you know, I meant it in a good way!" I said quickly.
"Ohh" he said.
The rest of the boys get there and it's time for the gender reveal.
It's a plastic baseball with blue or pink powder in it and I have the bat since Anna doesn't know how to bat correctly and my brother is pitching the ball.
1 2 3 The ball flies at me and I hit it suddenly pink dust flies everywhere.
"ITS A GIRL!" Everyone including the boys shouted.
Anna starts crying and Danny is super happy.
"That was such a good hit y/n!" Everyone says.
"Thank you!" I exclaimed.
"Hey y/n?" Benny says.
"Yeah?" I ask him.
"I have a question," he states.
