until we meet again (childe and family ft. pulcinella)

night had dawned apon snezhnaya. pulcinella had been at ajaxs house all day taking care of teucer, anton and tonya. pulcinella received a letter, indicating that ajax was coming home, but not for long. ajax needed to say something important to his siblings. something only he could say. pulcinella knew by the aura of the letter that this wasn't good news. he prepared the childrens dinner and beds. l

in the evening when everyone had been worn out, pulcinella decided to pack up his things and get ready to leave. pulcinella says goodbye to the family in an orderly fashion. he looks back at the door with a withered look on his face. he was worried. he slowly walked toward the door, afraid of what was to happen.

before opening the door, 3 knocks had been made. pulcinella opened the door, meeting ajax infront of it. he had a big smile on his face. what a facade, thought pulcinella.

"oh dear, ajax! how lovely it is to see you come home"

ajaxs siblings ran towards him as he kneeled down to hug them.

"haha, thank you uncle pulcinella. I can't begin to think of the things i qould need to repay you for your kind work."

"no need, ajax. i'll always be glad to help you with your family."

pulcinella was ready to walk.out the door, only to whisper into ajaxs ear.

"be careful, they're only children."

ajaxs colour drained from his face as he remember what his goal was. he thanked pulcinella once more and closed the door. ajax sat the children on the couch and gave them some pillows as comfort.

"tonya, anton, teucer."

the children looked at ajax happily tet confused.

"yes.. brother?" said tonya.

ajax looked at all 3 of them and sat in silence. tonya looked ajax straight in the eyes and immeditly knew what waa going on. as for the other two, they were close to oblivious. they knew something was wrong, but not quite what. ajax took a deep breath.

"your brother has to.. go away again."

teucer was releived, he thought his brothee had somethinf worse to say.

"oh well its just another toy trip right! it'll only be a couple weeks."

ajax looked at teucer and sighed. how is he to tell such young children, let alone his siblings.

"no, teucer.."

tonya clutched her skirt and looked down.

"you're going to take a long time arent you."

anton looked away trying to hide his tears.

"y-your going away.. forever this time. arent you."

ajax closed his eyes and smiled. with furrowed eyebrows. he felt empty. he hated seeing hjs siblings in such distress. teucer, being the youngest, was still confused. only anton and tonya knew. they knew this day was coming. they're smater tham you think.

"ah, you smart kids. how am i supposed to keep secrets from you?"

teucer stood up and said "what do they mean by forever?"

ajax held teucer shoulders and hugged him.

"teucer, i'm not coming back."

teucer looked at ajax.

"but.. you're here! you came back."

"teucer. i never came back."

teucer stepped back, trippung over himself.

"brother.."

"i love you, dearly. it's been 3 years teucer. i need to go."

teucer stood at the grave. what was that?

"teucer, come on." whispered tonya.

( "ajax , 23 , brother of 5 and a loyal harbinger. he did gods work, so may he rest easy" )

teucer exited the frozen palace wear ajaxs harbinger coat. the doors closed and teucer entered the car.

"goodbye. ajax."
