Chapter 6: Annoying & sweet brother

On our way back home, I did not speak to anyone in the car and noone wanted to say anything.

Arriving at home I wanted to go to my parents room were mom is usually but Lucas held my wrist, stopping me from moving.

"What do you want, Lucas?" I said heartbroken.

"Dad's calling you."

With that he left.

I went downstairs to see dad and Lucas. I definitely know that they are going to ask me what happened to me at school because I am sure Lucas told dad .

"Sit down" dad orders

I take a seat opposite them.

"What did that girl do to you for you to burst into tears at school?" Lucas asks

"Look, it wasn't a big deal, okay. I don't want to talk about it"

"Jay, you can't say that cause I saw you panicking you were so close in having a panick attack."

"Listen Lucas, I don't want to talk about it and dad I don't want to say anything concerning what happened. Understood?"

I was standing up to go but I turned back to ask a question

"Oh and dad, when is the doctor coming to check on mom?"

But they ignored me and just kept looking at me. So ridiculous. I think that they are trying to blackmail me

"Dad, Lucas I'm talking to you guys" they still didn't answer or say anything instead they kept on looking at me.

"Ugh. Okay fine. I will tell you what happened at school." I groan sitting down.

Seeing that they both smirked at me.

Wow, they blackmailed me so that I may tell them. Unbelievable!

"Go on" dad said

I told them the whole story.

"Can I ask a question, Jay." Lucas grinned. I know that, that grin means something.

"Yeah"

"Do you like her?"

And knots twisted in my stomach. Just from hearing that question.

"Uh no."

Please don't detect that I'm lying.

"Jay, you're lying."

Ugh this guy. I know I like her but I just don't want him to know.

"I'm not." I argue

"Okay Jay, then you're losing your chances of getting her cause I am friends with her brother." He winks

Ugh thi- wait she has a brother I'm sure his a senior. Oh gosh I know how concerned big brothers are about their little sisters.

When Lucas noticed that I hadn't replied to what he said, he cleared his throat and I looked up at him.

"You see, you like her and I know it. Just accept it."

With that I stood up and I was on my way to my room but then dad said something to that caught my attention and stopped in my tracks.

"The doctor won't come today but he might come next week Wednesday."

And I just continued walking and entered my room.

I woke up in the morning at eight and it's wierd I normally wake up late during the weekend but today I woke up early.
