Another month had gone by and Katie and Jase still had not heard from Dylan and Jessica. Katie was now 7 months pregnant. The doctor had ordered her to stay off of her feet as much as possible because she had been stressed and had started early labor a couple of times.
Jase continued to work from home and Michael was doing well in school.
Michael was getting so excited knowing his little sister was almost here.
The stress had lessened and Katie was finally sleeping and stopped worrying so much. She knew that she was safe with Jase and their family would be okay as long as they stayed together and remained calm.
They had finally started believing that Dylan and Jessica, were going to leave them alone. If they were going to do something, they would have done it by now.
Meanwhile, back in England Jessica and Dylan had bigger plans for Katie and her little happy family.
Jessica was still plotting and scheming to destroy her daughter.
Dylan didn't want to go along with it, but he knew he couldn't go against Jessica because she was rich enough to destroy his whole life.
"Next week, I am flying back to New York. I am going to get Michael and be back here a few days later. We need his room to be ready when he gets here." Jessica informed Dylan.
"I should go get him. After all, he is my son." Dylan insisted.
"Honey, you are a sperm donor. Nothing more. That boy doesn't even know you exist." She was harsh with her words.
Dylan clenched his fists in anger. "HE IS MY SON!"
Jessica laughed with an evil tone. "Do you think you scare me? You can't be a father, to a child who has no clue of who you are. You met the brat one time. That doesn't make you a dad."
"You better not hurt him. He better get back here without a single scratch on his body."
"I would never hurt a child. I'm not a monster." She rolled her eyes.
"Taking a child from their mother will hurt him."
"You should be happy. Didn't you say that you want to know your son?"
"Yes, but not this way. Katie is a good mother. She is taking good care of him."
"This is the best way to destroy her. Besides, don't act like you are a saint. You tried killing her yourself." Jessica acknowledged.
"Yeah, we all have a past and I am not proud of mine. I regret taking a man's life. I regret hurting my wife and the mother of my child. And most importantly, I loathe the day that you and I ever met. Meeting you, was the day my life ended." He argued back.
She smacked him across his face. "If I, was you, I would learn to have some respect for the one who holds all the cards. I can easily take you out of this world and then you will not be here to watch your son grow up."
Dylan kept quiet. He knew at that moment; he was dealing with the devil himself.
"Now that this is settled, I have some last-minute details to figure out. Make sure the room, Michael is staying in is kid-friendly.
"And what happens when Katie shows up?" He asked in a confused voice.
"She will be killed on the spot. She and her new boy toy." Jessica stated as she walked away with a smirk on her face.
Dylan went into the room, that Michael would be staying in. There were video games, movies, toys, and stuffed animals waiting for him.
Dylan sat on the bed and looked around feeling a tightness in his chest. The thought of taking a child from their mother hurt him. He knew he had made horrible mistakes and he would forever be sorry that he did, but he didn't know how to fix what he had done. He knew somehow, he had to warn them, he just didn't know-how.
