Mona's POV

Y/N has seemed to be off since we got to the archipelago. Perhaps it has something to do with that breakup of hers a few months ago? Maybe her new relationship with Kaeya? Who knows.

"Lady Megistus, would thou like to accompany the prinzessin der verurteilung on her journey?" Fischl took me out of my train of thoughts with her words.

"What mein fräulein means is that she'd like you to explore these islands with her?" Oz translates as if I couldn't guess.

Fischl rolls her eyes before looking at me, eager for my response.

"Why of course, your highness, I'd love to follow along." I play along.

Her eyes widen and she smiles for a split second before returning to her usual resting face. She nods and motions for me to follow her.

"One second your highness, I need to see if traveller is coming along." I tell her.

She nods again.

I walk over to traveller and Paimon.

"Hey traveller, hey Paimon, me and the prinzessin are going to explore the islands, would you like to come with us?" I smile.

Traveller nods and Paimon's face lights up.

"Alright, we're leaving now so follow me!"

We make our way back over to Fischl and head off.

I need to meet with Y/N later, I have a bad feeling.

Y/N's POV

"Thanks Xinyan! Can you show me how to get to the top of the mountain?" I ask, Xinyan sighing then smiling.

"Haha sorry, I just really need to investigate how this island looks." I add.

She nods and we make our way up the mountain, Kazuha trailing behind us.

When we made it to the top, I was taken aback by the beautiful view. The surrounding area, the beautiful flower, the spring.. It's stunning!

I thanked Xinyan and told her that if she wanted to go with the others she could but she was welcome to stay with us, I liked her, she was really pretty and so nice.

"So Y/N, why'd ya need to come up here anyway?" Xinyan asked.

Shit. I can't tell her about my research on the past of the nations.

"Ah, I just need to sketch out the islands for a commission that the Dandelion Knight set for me." I lied, trying my best to keep a straight face.

Kazuha nodded and Xinyan just shrugged it off.

Thank god.

"Xinyan, do you mind walking around this mountain and sketching it out? I'll pay you 200,000 mora as payment?" her eyes widen when I mention the mora.

"Oh my archons Y/N, where do ya get all this mora from? Whatever, not everyone talks about where they get their money, I'll do your sketch!" she took the pencil and paper from my hand and I nodded before turning to Kazuha.

"Kazuha, I assume you know what I'm going to ask."

He nods. I smile and hand him a pencil and paper too and he begins to glide off to the other mountain. I watch him and make sure he lands safely before waving him off.
