i didn't mean it, gosh i'm so frustrating! i have every girl head over heels for me, including susan.

and i just ruined her, i ruined everything. i have to fix it and i don't know how, steve would be angry with me so he's not the best option at the moment.

dallas.

it was a long shot, but it was a way to finally make it up to susan. i've been treating her terribly for awhile and i never realized it.

"dal?" i knocked on bucks door, i didn't think there was a party going on at the moment, so it felt alright to go now.

"whatta ya want kid?" a guy, probably in his twenties opened the door.

"dallas, i needa see dallas!" i remarked.

"he's busy." the guy responded, about to shut the door in my face.

"i don't care! i need to talk to him right now." i commanded, slamming my fist into the wall. the guy looked uncomfortable and closed the door.

i stood there for a minute before dally opened the door.

"angry man? i see." dallas rolled his eyes. "what soda?"

"i need advice."

"you're coming to me for advice? are you high?" he says.

"no, my gosh!" i huff. "i just need help winning susan over."

"ah, that's what this is about huh? alright, come inside." he dragged me inside with him, a few girls were at the bar, winking at me. i wasn't in any mood to flirt back, so i ignored them.

"alright, what happened?" dallas asked, lighting a cigarette.

"i yelled at her, i caught her doing something...it's not important but she seemed really upset with me after i yelled at her."

"hm." dallas sighed. "man, i don't know."

i hung my head. i knew this was a long shot. i'm so stupid.

"i think maybe you should return the favor." dallas leaned his head back.

"what favor did she do for me?" i asked.

"you're so blind man, she got all dressed up for you, bought you flowers and made you a cake. she ran home crying when she saw you and that dead broad making out." he took a puff on his smoke.

"she did all that for me? how would you know anyways?" i was starting to tense up, i really am blind ain't i?

"steve, who else?" he retorted.

"oh." was all i could say, i stood up. "thanks dallas. i owe ya."

"you sure as hell do!" dallas called after me, i sighed. i really do.

i hurried into my room, grabbing a pair of jeans and my dx shirt, i still had work wether i wanted to go or not.

i let the hat sit on my head, adjusting it, i ran out the door. i'd have to run to work, steve probably already was at work.

the dx door rang, cussing steve to look up from the magazine. "hey." he mumbled. so he knows, huh?

"hey buddy." i replied, grabbing the candy bar from his hands, he scowled at me.

"man, you know i heard what you did to my sister this morning!" he stood.

"i was trying to help her." i scoffed.

"with what?!" steve demanded.

"she was cutting herself!" i blurted, then covered my mouth.

"she what?!" he yelled, throwing the magazine down onto the counter. "it's because of you! isn't it?!"

"why me?!" i demanded.

"she loved you!" he snapped. "she loved you so much and you didn't as much as look at her!"

i gulped. steve was fuming and it's all my fault. "i'm sorry."

"sorry my ass!" he smacked me.

"i..." i tried to speak, but i was too stunned.

"i can't believe it. my best buddy just hurt my baby sister." he shook his head, he looked like he was about to swing at me again, but someone walked through the doors.

"i heard yelling, is everything alright?" a man asked, he had a white beard and was bald where his hair should be. i nodded.

"everything's fine sir."

"yeah." steve agreed, but gave me a cold hard stare.

"alright boys." he chuckled to himself, walking through the door.

"you know steve, you can't really complain about my hurting your sister, when you hurt my kid brother every day!" i snap back at him.

"he's a tag along!" he seethes. "do you even care about my sisters feelings at all?"

i breathe. "yes, i love her." i couldn't believe i said it out loud, but it was true. i loved her, i've loved her for the longest time and never even realized it.

"you love her?!" steve asks.

"yes! i've loved her since i laid my eyes on her, i've just never realized it." i hang my head. "i'm a bad friend to you and your sister."

"sure are." he scoffs, but drapes his arm around
me. "thanks for saving her the other night by the way."

"anything."
