I felt someone shake my shoulder.

As i slowly opened my eyes, and the dullness of my eyes left, i could recognize Himikos face above me, lit by the flickering of the TV.

"Kokichi.."
I heard Himiko repeat my Name, only this time I could clearly hear anxiety in her voice.

I braced myself with my elbows.
"What's wrong?"

As she didn't answered, just continued starring at me, i got a bit concerned.

"Did you just had a nightmare?~"
I smiled but to my surprise she nodded.

"can you go to the toilet with me? i have to pee"

For a moment I had to deal with my disbelief, but laughed it away.
"Seriously? is that the reason you woke me up in the middle of the night? Are you scared to go alone?"

"Yeah, I'm scared to go alone, is there a problem?"
Himiko wrapped her arms around her body, as if a shiver ran down her spine.

after a moment's thought, I ran my hand over her head.
"If I have to, I'll even hold your hand while you pee"

"no thanks"
The red haired murmured.

I accompanied Himiko to the bathroom and then waited outside the door for a few minutes.

After hearing her flush the toilet and washing hands, she came out a few seconds later.

"Aaaand? Was there a monster in the toilet?"

"shhh"
Himiko put her finger to her mouth.
"nighttime"
with the other hand she pulled my arm, and I let myself be dragged along with her, to the bed.

we went back to bed together and she immediately snuggled back into my arms.

It lasted several minutes, and Himiko kept sighing and moving all the time.

"was the dream so bad?"
I broke the silence calmly.

"Not at all"
The mage wispered back.

"Why don't you tell me about it?"

"Ah..i already forgot"
she turned away from me.

"why are you lying to me now?"
I whispered close to her ear and put carefully my arm around her to pull her closer.

"Nyehh..!"
Himiko took my arm and bit into it.

I hissed.
She hadn't even held back!
"why that all of sudden??"

I felt her sucking on my arm, as response, breathing in and out softly.
"Are ya like a big baby or somethin' ?"

The ultimate mage simply ignored me.
I kept listening to her breathing ,for a long time.
It was so nice to listen to, like light rain, so quiet and relaxing.
Had she fallen asleep in the meantime? That was quite fast.

I closed my eyes.
The warmth that her delicate body gave off, comforted me.

She was it.

I tried to suppress this rising feeling but I slowly became aware of it.

She was the first person in my life, that I actually started deeply caring for.

What at first, was just amusement about teasing her, turned into teasing her for her attention and ended with this warmth, weird feeling in my chest, whenever she starts blushing or pouting, but most of all when she simply revealed new aspects of herself or her feelings to me.

No, she definitely wasn't boring.
