Kitty looked at the wall clock. 8:15. She sighed. Time was passing as slowly as never. Of course it wasn't because she was waiting for a particular aviator. She just wanted to go home as soon as possible. After all her eyes didn't go to the door every time it opened. And she didn't make a perfect make-up and wore uncomfortable but pretty dress for him. She just wanted to Look good. It was true. Definitely... Who was she trying to cheat? She waited for him till morning.

- Kitty! -someone shouted. She looked around and her face brightened.

-Joan. - She hugged short dark-haired girl. - How long are you here?

-Here, in The hard Deck or in Miramar? - Joan laughed. - I went back on summer break.

-Me too. - Said Kitty and started to clean. - And how is your study?

-It's okay, but...

Kitty saw something in the corner of her eye. She turned her head and saw a man she has been waiting for. Rooster walked into the bar and Kitty couldn't help but smile. Then she frowned. Something was wrong about him. First of all he was in his uniform instead of Hawaiian shirt and jeans. And it was crumpled and ragged as if he were fighting someone. Second although he smiled at her Mom as charming as usually it was some fake in this. As if it was forced.

-Excuse me-Kitty told to Joan. Friend followed her gaze.

-Oh, I see-she said - have fun. But Kitty haven't you always told that you don't like pilots?

Kitty snorted.

-I lied. - She left Joan and approached Rooster who had already ordered a drink.

-Hey, Rooster-she said and touched his arms. - You are earlier than I expected.

He turned around and said:

-Kitty. You have no idea how good is to see you.

She frowned.

-What happened to your face? - She carefully stroked his swollen cheek, trying to ignore the thrill that ran dawn through her back as she touched his skin. "It is very un-nurse like" Kitty mentally scolded herself.

-It's nothing-Rooster said, taking her hand and gently pulling away from his face. - Little difference of opinion.

-Bradley-Kitty said emphatically. He looked at her with suprise because it was the first time she used his name. -Please tell me.

-Why? - Rooster muttered.-What for?

-Because it's poor idea to face the problem by yourself when you don't have to.

-Why you care? - He asked.

Because I care about you- the thought came suddenly but she wanted to scream it out. This words were on the tip of her tongue, but Kitty gritted her teeth to stop them. It wasn't a good time on such confessions. Instead, she put it on irony.

-And have you someone better? - she asked sarcastically and satisfied, she watched as his lips twitched in a slight smile.

-You are horrible, do you know that?

-Yes, but you like me like that.-Kitty responded.-Come on. - She took his hand-I could have a break right now dont you think?-She dragged him to the exit to the back room-Gill. Will you replace me for a while? - she asked her colleague and without waiting for a reply she pulled Rooster through the door to the back room and from the back room to the beach. Kitty sat down on the bench against the wall and looked expectantly at him.

-So? You can tell me whatever you want.

-Are you sure of it? - Rooster asked sarcastically and leaned against fence.
