Esmeralda
We had traveled in a school, all of us together with me as the leader. I was filled with love and satisfaction as I watched my beloved and greatly missed family trill with glee at the sight of Vallea. "Make yourselves at home. There is plenty of room for everyone." I said, hardly containing my smile as it spread from cheek to cheek. I fell onto my throne, watching everyone bustle around excitedly. I could finally breathe. I let out a long awaited breath as my hair glowed around me. I was thankful to Violet for letting me have the opportunity to be queen too, even though I had lost the fight and technically didn't deserve it. I could see that now that my rage coloured glasses were gone. I felt giddy at the thought of once again having her in my life, even though we were only at the beginning of repairing our relationship. I watched Isla fuss over her baby, his squirming legs trying to squeeze out of her grasp. I chuckled to myself. "Isla." I called her over. She smiled at me, trying to contain little Finnias. "I'm so glad to have you back."
"As I am to have you back. I'm glad you and Violet have mended things. I only hope that one day you can rule together and we can all be the best of friends again." She was now bouncing Finnias above her in an effort to calm him. He giggled at the rocking motion. "Violet and I have babies of similar ages... hopefully you can have a bouncing baby of your own sometime soon." She pursed her lips in amusement, knowing what my reaction would be.
I smirked, "I thought I had someone on the hook..." I laughed, "Well, it was more the idea of someone." I murmured, more seriously now.
"Louie?" She asked.
"Yes." I replied tight-lipped.
"What happened there Essie?"
"He wasn't who I thought he was. He was after a kingdom and not a queen." I gazed off before meeting Isla's eyes.
"You will find your person." She rubbed my arm.
"And in the meantime, I have found my people." I smiled brilliantly.
