Chapter 4

Shide's Pov

Shuyi woke up around 10 at night probably because he slept hungry earlier.

Hey, when did you come home?

Um..a while back. You were sleeping on the sofa so I carried you to the bed.

Aah, really? thank you I guess.

I could sense that Shuyi was a little embarrassed so I tried to comfort him.

Since, we're going to live together for probably a long time, you can now stop with all the thankyou's.
I'll heat up the dinner, you should go freshen up.

Shuyi's Pov

Shide is a very kind person, not at all arrogant like you expect rich people to be. We both ate dinner mostly in silence, occasionally asking each other regular questions.

Shuyi what time is your class tomorrow, we can go together if you'd like?

Umm..that's fine. I can walk from here, it's not too far.

Oh okay. Good night then... Ahh and all the best for the first day of college.

He went into his room and shut the door. I couldn't burden him any more than I already was, moreover how would he explain to his friends why we're living together, so I decided to keep it a secret and went to bed.

Shide's Pov

I woke up at 7 and got dressed for the day, I wanted to see off Shuyi but he had already left. However there was a covered plate on the table with a post-it note on it.
"Eat your breakfast before you leave and have a good day Shide"

My heart started to beat so loudly I could nearly hear it out of my chest. No one had ever done this for me which made Shuyi so special. I lifted the plate and there was bread omelette with grilled pork underneath. I ate it with a smile on my face and left.

Shuyi's Pov

I reached the campus 20 minutes before the lecture and started looking around to find a way to my faculty. Everyone looked so busy and my shy personality didn't help a-lot in asking someone for the way when suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder.

Hey man, you look a little lost. Are you new here too?

Yes, it's my first day. I cannot find where the faculty of engineering is.

Hahahah it's my first day too and coincidentally I'm from the same faculty. Come with me I'll take you.

You seem to know a lot about the campus already Zack.

Well my mother is the vice chancellor of the university so I came here to see her often when I was in school.

Oh that's so cool!

Haha right.

We entered the engineering department and went to see the notice board to check our class schedules. And there he was, standing next to me, Shide, gazing directly into my eyes.

Do you know him?

I turned to look at Zack.

No, not really.

I didn't want people to know about our living situation and misunderstand Shide.

Oh..alright then, we have a class soon. Let's go.

I turned to look at Shide briefly and left.

Shide's Pov

I saw him near the notice board with some stranger. The sun falling partly on his face and his hair resting slightly on his forehead made him look so irresistibly beautiful. I couldn't stop me legs until I was right next to him.

I wanted to ask him if he needed some assistance, but before I could get a word out of my mouth, I heard him tell his friend that he didn't know me. I didn't know how to react after hearing him say that and stood frozen for a moment even after he had left.

Shide! The professor is looking for you.

I'm coming...

I finally moved and went to the class.

Shuyi's Pov

I had attended 4 classes one after the other, and was feeling extremely tired, however I was loving the feeling of being in college. I made a few friends who Zack introduced me with, obviously.

Hey Shuyi, before the next lecture, do you want to have a cup of coffee?

I'd love to, I'm so tired.

We went to the Cafeteria and ordered 4 cappuccinos. After a few minutes, the waiter brought our coffees and started serving them on the table. However, to my surprise, everyone's coffee was the one we ordered but mine was honey-almond milk flat white coffee, my favourite that I used to order back home.
Shocked, I asked the waiter.

Why did you get me this?

Sir, someone else ordered it for you.

He pointed his finger towards a man sitting a few seats across from us.

Looking at that face, my face turned pale and hands went cold. How could he...? Is he really...? Right in front of me was my worst nightmare, Akira waving at me with a smirk on his face.
