CHAPTER 22: Choose

PORSCHE'S POV

Khun Korn is getting weaker, I don't even know what happened to him after we talked. I don't know what to do, what story to believe, who to believe, and who I should trust. I can't trust anyone from this family, I have to be more careful knowing that Chay is here with me. We have to go somewhere else.

*ring* *ring* *ring*

Vegas calling..

"What?" I asked him.

"It's getting near, Porsche. My work is done, it's now up to you." I'm still confused, why is this all happening?

"Yeah, I know. You also know what to do."

"I won't let anyone touch Pete." Vegas then hangs up.

At least he knows who he has to prioritize. We both might be rivals or friends in this war but we both know what and who we have to protect.

I can't choose, I will not choose, I'm not in the minor family nor the main family, all I know is I am with Kinn. I will protect him even if it costs my life. But first, I have to secure Porchay.

Wait for me, Kinn.

*ring* *ring* *ring*

Calling Sean...

"Sean, bring Porchay to Yok's bar. Tell him to stay there for a while. You also have to go back to the mansion, don't tell anyone where Porchay is." I told him.

"Khrup." I then ended the call.

I'm here at our house, just staring at my gun, contemplating what to do.

I wanted to say sorry to Porchay, I dragged him here. I should've not accepted this job, I just wanted to give him a better life, the life that I didn't have.

It's okay if I'll be the one suffering, not him. I'm trying really hard not to get him involved in this business.

KIM'S POV

I hurriedly went back home when I heard that Pa's condition is getting critical. We don't know if Pa will survive, all we know is if he won't, that'll start the chaos in our family.

The war starts here. Tankhun is silent, that's unusual and I'm getting worried about him.

We're all waiting for the doctor, then here he is. By the looks of him, I think it's bad news.

"I'm sorry, we tried our best. Khun Korn passed away." After hearing that, our world stopped.

"Pa's... gone.." Tankhun said then started crying his heart out. He was the most fragile, Kinn remained firm but I know he's also hurt about the news. I moved closer to Khun and hugged him, Kinn was caressing his back to comfort him.

We stayed like this for a while, Tankhun was crying non-stop, me and Kinn couldn't because we have to be strong for this family.

"You don't need to think about anything, Kinn." He's thinking about what he's going to do next.

The minor family won't let this opportunity slide. Uncle Gun won't see this as a funeral but as a victory for them. He won't grieve for his brother's death but he'll celebrate knowing that the main family is weak.

I trust Kinn, he can lead this family more than anyone can. He might be dumb in love but in leadership, he knows what to do best.

PORCHAY'S POV

Hia told Sean to bring me at P'Yok's bar, he told me to stay here for a while. I still don't know what's happening but I won't bother anyone to tell me, I'll just stay here like what Hia said.

I haven't had the chance to visit Lung Korn, I don't know if he's doing well. I will just read the letter he left me later on.

*ring* *ring* *ring*

Hia Calling..

"Khrup, Hia?"

"Chay, stay there for a while. Wait for me, okay? Be careful." I wanted to ask him what's going on but I can't.

"Khrup, Hia. You too."

"I love you, Chay."

"I love you too, Hia." After that, Hia ended the call. I'm worried, I don't know what's going on.

"Look after Porsche's brother. If he goes sideways, you know what to do with his brother."

"Khrup." my men then bowed and left.

I won't let this slide. The throne is waiting for me, I'll use all the chances I have to get it. Main family, your time is over. You all dug your own grave, thank you for making everything easy for me.

I then laughed menacingly. The celebration can wait, I have to get what's mine first.
