CHAPTER 45: Confession

PORCHAY'S POV

Cau is still unconscious, but his condition is stable. After speaking with Lorenzo, I've decided to stay at the Main Family's house for the time being and perhaps enroll in some courses.

"Khun, khrup. The mansion is ready for both of you to live in. Khun Vegas' arrival will be delayed as he has a lot to settle in Thailand. He said he will call to inform you when he has time. Your tutor is scheduled once a week. The members of the Circle won't expect you to attend meetings as Lorenzo has informed everyone that you will lie low from now on," Sean explained.

Everything will change drastically because of Cau. We still can't figure out what happened to him. I'll just have to wait for him to wake up.

I was waiting for my drink at the counter when I felt someone hug me from behind.

"I was worried about you," he said.

I turned to face Macau, feeling concerned. "How can you get up that easily? You need to rest. Sit there and wait for me; I'll go get the doctor," I said, about to walk towards the doctor's quarters when he grabbed my arm, stopping me.

"No need. I'm okay, Chay," he said weakly.

"I know you're okay. You have a lot of explaining to do, so please rest, Cau," I replied, trying to pry myself away, but he pulled me closer and hugged me tightly.

"I miss you, Chay. I miss you so bad," he said, resting his head on my shoulder.

"I miss you too, Cau," I said, patting his head.

Sean walked towards us, so I pushed Cau away in shock.

"I'm sorry, Cau. Is your head okay?" He nodded.

Sean leaned closer to my ear and whispered something. "If you're gonna be like that, you don't have to push him away, khrup. It's okay; I have witnessed a lot of things already," he teasingly said. I just glared at him, so he straightened up and bowed to Macau before speaking.

"Khun Macau, khrup. You will be staying with Khun Porchay in the Main Family's mansion in Italy for the time being. It has been advised by the Head of the family for you to stay here so that you can recover and be well-protected. Khun Vegas will call later to talk to you as he won't be able to be here today because he is busy. If you have any concerns, you can ask me as I will be your bodyguard until you've chosen one, khrup."

After Sean's lengthy lecture, he left us, and Macau quickly leaped onto me.

"Part of me wants to be back in Thailand, but being with you is what I want. Now that I'm here, I won't ever leave," Cau whispered.

"So cheesy. Did you bump your head? Is it ruptured?"

"Now that we'll stay together, I want to ask you something. This time, no one will interrupt, no P'Tankhun shouting and calling you," he said, cupping my cheeks and drawing me closer.

"W-what is it?" I stammered, feeling nervous with his face so close to mine.

"I wanted to ask you if I can court you. I'm confessing my love to you, Porchay. I have been confused many times about what I felt, but now I won't waste any time. I will wait for you," he said, kissing my forehead.

I'm stunned and speechless right now. Am I ready for this?

"Cau, I--"
